I love my JTR. I have had 98% no issues, rear window leak fixed first try. Solid front and rear axles, factory lockers, take the doors off and the roof in minutes. Kicks ass off road! MANUAL TRANSMISSION, like what is there not to love.

My only other option is a Land Cruiser 70 series P/U that I cannot buy new in the US.

Reality, most do not want this. They want IFS, I.E. Tacoma, Ranger, GM's modes, Frontier etc. The JT is a niche market, lets just hope Jeep keeps them around. I will say that amount of drivers of other manufactures in the mid size do in fact look. Especially when the JTR is muddy, roof open etc.

As for long term, unless people wake up, the states adopting the no more ICE malarkey by 2035, no matter what they are doomed. So Enjoy them while you can!

During the current model run, Wrangler introduced 4xe, 392, XR as well as several other packages. Gladiator has… nada. No Wait: they brought the orange color back. Woohoo.
Fair point. Since launch, I never expected it would be a Keeping up with the Joneses model.

I traded a BMW X5 M/// for my Gladiator. While I miss the HP, I do not miss the lack of useable space, worrying about the interior leather being scratched or greased up by kid or dog, worrying about door dings, ridiculous maintenance expenses, iffy customer service from the dealer, and so on. While I keep the Gladiator well cared for it’s just better suited for real living and far more durable / resilient than the BMW. I also like that it has personality over a traditional pickup like a Tacoma, Silverado, etc.
Thankfully I don't have to worry about the kids, dogs, or dealer nonsense. As for the maintenance costs, anyone that buys a performance machine better be prepared for the maintenance involved. Luckily I have a good relationship with the Euro shop, and enjoy working on Euro machines.

As I've been looking for used Gladiators locally, I've noticed a ton of Broncos lately. I guess a bunch of people ordered them thinking SUV and didn't like the ride?

Besides, Chevy CEO actually stated they are willing to cut production before they are willing to lower prices! They like crazy big profits.
Yea, president and vp of my company said the same thing... right up until our competition saw an opportunity to eat our lunch and went on a purchasing spree to load up on inventory to clear out cheap to grab a large portion of our market share. Then we had sky high margins with no sales.

uh oh, now the board wants answers. High margins are only nice when they give you a high EBITDA.

Every empty suit in the country who has ever uttered the phrase "we need to be proactive, not reactive" is probably the most reactive m'fer you're ever likely to meet.

Or to put it all way more succinctly:

Which is weird because the Broncos ride great compared to a Jeep. IFS is the best design for speed and daily driving. If anything, the broncos are a bit squishy. Lots of dive and roll with the sasquatch package.

Before I even click on motor bisquik just know they’re a pack of tools. Not worthy of a bucket of donkey piss ——……and are likely only making money off of directed ads and click bait algorithms. They don’t produce substance. AnyOne article has over and over again contradicted the subsequent or previous of articles with gobbledegook jargon and nonsense.

I only worry about the cats - and I usually take them to the vet in a cage. Man, the cat hair is there for years, otherwise. Took Yawnie to the vet probably 8 years ago in my Eagle - to this day I still find one of his orange hairs in that car and it's been prepped for shows every year since then.
My only worries then are me - dirty boots, snow, salt, grease on my hands and pants, whatever. That's why I like the floor drains - gets too messy inside in the winter with the salt and brine build up, sand and gravel, I go get a gallon of hot water, pour it on the mash, swish it around, pull the drain plug.
My wife asked me one day "where are you going with that hot water in the middle of winter". LOL - she found out when she got in and saw the clean mats later.

Depends on the road. On a good highway, decent streets, there's no difference. They handle and steer the same unless the road is rough or bouncy.
I'll take my Jeep up to the same speeds I'll take my other cars up to - well, the Jeep can't match the speed of my 73, but that's not the point.........

I've had a lot of vehicle as daily drivers, and the JT is the best truck daily driver I've ever had. In fact my other stuff sits a lot more now that I have the JT.
My wife even comments "this thing sure rides smooth". She's said that several times and she's more of a luxury vehicle person in her past life.

True, on nice, smooth, and straight pavement, they are the same. Everything here seems to be rough, bouncy, and twisty lol.

Sounds like the highways in southern Illinois or around Indianapolis. Ugh, I'll do what I can to avoid those.
Rough, twisty, bouncy, yeah, we know which is more accurate for sure.

Also, our freeway speed limits are 80. I do 90 comfortably in the VW, that gets sketchy in solid axle vehicles.

I've done 90+ in my JT on I35 and on I80 (don't tell my wife!!) and it's fine, even, smooth, stable. But I'd not want to try to make any emergency maneuver at that speed in one of these. It was rare times there wasn't hardly any traffic at all.
Those highways are generally decent.

Maybe if the auto workers strike then the suppliers will have time to catch up on back ordered parts.
It depends, they may be UAW as well.....
Nexteer employees also UAW and guess who supplies steering and driveline parts to Stellantis?

Will other UAW locals support the big three strikers?
