you are correct the only problem is i will loose alot of money on the gladdy so i am trying to make the best of it
Good point. I traded my '22 JTM in late April '23 for 49K (MSRP 60K - paid 55K). Had it for 14 months and logged 7,500 miles.

Last week I visited my longtime friend and sales consultant at the dealer to chat. He stated that everything is different now just four months later. If I waited till now to trade, that figure would be around 40K. Depreciation from the price paid is 27%.

Back to Idaho. I live in Meridian, immediately West of Boise. The last figure I saw was approx 11,000 new home starts, not including countless apartments permitted in this county. As a Midwest transplant new homes are typically local people moving “up” or new home buyers. Situation here is the “Great Eastern Migration”, people, families, retirees leaving CA, OR, and WA and relocating here. In some cases multi generations of families coming here. It’s the Oregon Trail in reverse.
Why? Great quality of life, lower taxes and regulation, booming job market, great recreational opportunities. Books will be written 50 years from now what is happening in Idaho, Texas, Florida, Utah, a few other places.

During the current model run, Wrangler introduced 4xe, 392, XR as well as several other packages. Gladiator has… nada. No Wait: they brought the orange color back. Woohoo.
If you are talking about engines then yes, otherwise the JT has introduced plenty of new trims/packages in just 4 years. Like the Mojave, High Altitude, Altitude, Willys, Texas Trail, Far Out, etc.

I am sure if they had competition from other brands they would be more aggressive. While the others may have a midsized truck, none of them are true adventure trucks with the exception of the Rivian....it has some cool tricks, but you still can't take the doors or roof off.

Well ... it's from Motorbiscuit, so who really cares? It's not like it's anything other than a weird trick to get more people to move their mouse over to the clickbait.

Jeep sells every Gladiator it produces. It always has. There have been times down here in So. Cal. where I have been driving on a freeway with five or six other Gladiators who just happen to all be going the same way at the same time. There's not a day that goes by that I don't see ten or more Gladiators out in the wild, and - while that's merely an anecdotal observation - there aren't always that many Gladiators turning into aged inventory sitting on dealers lots down here.

According to this data, Gladiator sales have taken a hit. This certainly can't help resale values.

Why Are Midsize Trucks Struggling to Sell Right Now? (motorbiscuit.com)
The only thing buyers are rebelling at is the inflated prices. Mopar sells a diesel version of the JT and it has a troubling history thus far and apparently is about to be canceled. This is more a function of Joe Biden's assault on the petro industry than the engines reliability but regulations are pushing the diesel past where it can be reliably built to perform well. Most of us want options when we start to buy a new vehicle. I know two people who bought Wrangler E models and they are both selling them, or attempting too anyway. It is only a matter of time before the cult of the enraged come after other off-road vehicles as well. All the markers are in front of us unless we push back. Everyone enjoy the Gladiator platform. I do.

Maybe if the auto workers strike then the suppliers will have time to catch up on back ordered parts.
Maybe. The UAW may have an unplanned influence on this plan.

Have you seen any of the big 3 us dealers lots lately? Chevy, Ford, and Dodge can't sell trucks right now. Lots are overflowing, but the dealers aren't making any attempt to lower prices to sell. I suspect they are holding inventory so they have stuff to sell during the long strike everyone sees coming.

Besides, Chevy CEO actually stated they are willing to cut production before they are willing to lower prices! They like crazy big profits.
Not necessarilly true. I gave up on my JTD order which was accepted March 31st and bought a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4x4 with the 3.0L Duramax. I got it for $8K below sticker price and 1.9% financing.

Diesel is the way to go.

Personally, yes. If a dealer loses money on the front end, they can usually make it back 10x on the back end. It's the long game they need to pay attention to in these times.

I've noticed a lot of rental fleets buying Gladiators lately.

Yes this right here. I was recently looking at a number of dealerships on a possible Ram 1500 and they just flat out refuse to come off the high prices. Couple of the dealerships have lots of Gladiators on the lot and it was mentioned they were not selling to well. I mentioned back that maybe its because of what you are charging

I know two people who bought Wrangler E models and they are both selling them, or attempting too anyway.
What's the E model?

Well ... it's from Motorbiscuit, so who really cares?
Two articles talking about the diesel tuners being fined - and how the EPA, although they have said that diesel tuning isn't on the top of their list, the most recent companies to be caught and fined prove that the EPA isn't ignoring such thing.
At the same time, moterbiskut comes out with an article about diesel owners rejoicing over the EPA not going after tuners.
I laughed out loud while reading those headlines over breakfast this morning.
Gee, in the news are multiple companies fined millions, meanwhile MB has article about EPA not going after diesel tuners.
I recently saw another article, dang I wish I could remember and find it again, people here would get a good laugh because it was so technically wrong it was like someone in high school pulling things out of a hat. Once in a blue moon they come up with a gem that's factually correct, well researched (research and moterbiskut in the same sentence, wow) and was actually well-written, but that's not their norm.
It's a lot of clickbait. Why do they do it? They get crap featured in Edge and Chrome home pages. They make good money filling space on phones.

Yeah, I'll try to get some pictures of the local dealers around here - they are hurting for stock and can't keep lots filled. Want a used Gladiator? Good luck.

I did a search, concentrated on a circle 50 miles around the core of Des Moines. That would include Ames, Ankeny, Waukee, Indianola and other cities, towns and multiple dealerships.............
Jeep Gladiator Is the Gladiator losing interest with buyers? 1693232348638

To check that number, i used a different site and came up with 28 - but they listed a couple on a web site that has no brick and mortar presence here. Those all include JTs on lots for any company - GM, Hyundai, Ford, whatever so if you spread 24-28 Jeeps around all of the dealerships around here, that's less than 1 used JT per lot. You could visit a dealership and find no used Gladiators for sale.
The dealer I traded my 2020 to for my 2022 sold mine within a month as a certified pre-owned and I know what they allowed me, there's money spent to get it through certification, etc. so they had to be upper 40s to low 50s on their price to come out.
