I just picked up a new takeoff Mopar Steel 392 bumper for my Mojave. I guess I'm going to be sorting some of these fitment issues out. Trim or just drop the bracket down one hold. Also,
I wonder how my Firecracker Red Mojave will look with blue hooks...or should I swap in my
orange hooks??
It's really not as big of a deal to swap the hooks as everyone seems to whine about.

Definitely worth the hassle of removing the locking washers. I recently swapped mine and it was worth it! I didn’t feel like cutting the Mojave skid plate so I just went with the steel skid that went with the Mopar steel bumper.

Same here. Plus I think the black skid plate is a little more subtle…?

It sure does! It also covers the reservoirs too which I know is a concern to some. Here is a picture of the skid and the reservoir.

I tackled this last weekend - this is my story: bought the Mopar steel stubby from Bam wholesale. I didn’t want to hack into the bumper or skid plate, so I hoped for a creative solution, and I found it after much reading on this and other forums, owners groups, etc. I ended up moving the skid plate bracket down a hole, using the bottom hole for the top hole of the bracket. While you’ll probably think that’s only 1 bolt holding, once I tightened it and the bottom bolt on the skid... this thing is solid! The only difference is it spaces the skid down about an inch, but doesn’t matter to me - it still protects the reservoir, which is the mission, right? I’m very happy with it! I‘m waiting on the Warn low grille guard to arrive and I’ll call it good for the front end for now... some KC lights to follow at some point.

I am trying to wrap my head around this one. If you moved the bracket down, the skid would have dropped down also. Were you able to install the bottom bolts in the skid along with the bracket bolts moved down??

I installed the OEM steel bumper onto my Mojave. Swapped the orange hooks over also. The OEM LED fog lights do require a bracket that I’ve ordered from Amazon for $22.00. I also dropped the Mojave skid shield down using the top hole of the bracket on the bottom hole of the frame. No cutting or trimming whatsoever and it’s solid with the 2 bottom bolts ans 2 bracket bolts mounted. I think it’s only a matter of time before some vendor manufactures a proper bracket that would make use of both frame holes while closing the gap (which is only about an inch) between the top of the skid shield and bottom of the bumper. I will post some photos once I get my LED fog lights installed.

Can you elaborate on what that bracket is? (link?) This is the first I've heard that anything special is needed to swap the factory LED fogs.
Thanks,.

When I got my MOPAR 3pc. steel front bumper PN: 82215121AF it came as a complete assembly with LED fog lights already installed.
Did MOPAR discontinue including the lights in the complete assembly?

I purchased my OEM bumper as a new takeoff from a Rubicon 392 (blue hooks). I paid $800.00 which was substantially less than buying new. No fog lamps included.

That's about what I paid for my new one from my local Jeep dealer's parts dept.
