Ordered the parts listed in this thread, pretty simple process, used a TazerJL Mini, and now have working paddles in my Mojave.

I also have the 'disappearing' gear indicator when using the paddles. Indications work fine if i shift over to M and use the paddles to go up and down through the gears.

Was anyone able to figure out why the current gear disappears in D when using the paddle shifters?

Has anyone confirmed the 392 wranglers have/don't have the same behavior?

The 392 Wrangler shows the gears when the paddles are active. I have spent some time investigating this, I have the Mopar micropod and engineering software, but I have since been distracted with life stuff. I am not sure when I will get back to this effort. The loss of the gear is frustrating, no doubt.

Mine does this too. Honestly it’s never bothered me that much. I just throw the lever into manual mode. It does seem janky though so a fix would be nice. I would think that’s gonna have to come from Z. I’ve had a number of scary gremlins from my Tazer so I hope they fix those first. I find that I really don’t use the paddle shifters much. It’s sort of a waste on the diesel since its redline is at like 5500 RPM and all the torque is right above idle. My snorkel pre-filter roars like a vacuum that’s about to explode at high RPMs too. Revving through the gears just isn’t much fun. Also for some goofy reason the diesel has no engine braking at all, so downshifting doesn’t seem to do anything except make noise. I’d gladly get a GDE tune with all that involves just to get engine braking. It drives me crazy. I really miss having a manual transmission car. I need to find a used ND2 at a reasonable price.

I'm glad I found this thread. The one thing I do miss from the Grand Cherokee was the paddle shifters (well the cooled seats are a big one too).

I'll be ordering the kit from Benny and I already have a Tazer.

So for a quick update…I really wanted the 392 wheel for the better feel, but I just couldn’t do the gold stitching with all my red. Fast forward to this summer and my buddy got a 2024 392. With the new interior, they have switched to red stitching, so I took his VIN and ordered the wheel. After 4 months of waiting, it finally came in today, and I’m super happy with it. I also added a top/bottom comparison photo of the 2 o you can see the difference.

if anyone else is interested, the part number is 7SG452R3AA

Is it possible to swap out some of the buttons on it? I don't have adaptive cruise, so curious if I could take my blank buttons off my wheel and transplant them over to the new one.

You have to move all of those buttons over from your old wheel, so it should work fine.

Hopefully someone who has actually done it will post up though.

Buttons get swapped over, your blank button will swap over no problem.

The wheel comes with nothing but the wheel itself, so you have to swap over all your buttons and trim anyway.

Does anyone have the part number for the clock spring/steering column module for the heated steering wheel? My jeep doesn't have the cold weather group so I'm trying to add the heated steering wheel, and paddle shifters at the same time.
Is this possible?

You would still need to have the control buttons on the center dash panel . Not sure if the wiring harness would be the same at that point if not equipped with the cold weather package . some thing to look into also .
