Fellow JTD owners...
Do remember what your oil level was right before your first oils change ?
I'm at around 6k miles, getting ready to change my oil for the first time. ( still debating doing it myself or taking the Jeep Wave freebie)
I checked my oil and it appears to either be at the dipstick level or it's barely touching the bottom of the dipstick.
I'm not a master mechanic... but from my understanding is a new engine will use oil during the initial break in... first diesel... so I seek advice.
So is this normal, did you guys experience this. I did check for leaks, everything is bone dry. I've never experienced any issues and the vehicle has been driven relatively easily.
Lastly does any know FOR SURE what amount of oil is measured from the bottom to the top mark of the dipstick ?
TIA
