One of several new products going on the website this week is our new filler plate for under the rear door. This is one of those “I never knew I needed it until I had it” products! I have a solid version as well as a version to mount your rear camera. The Jeep Gladiator has two different cameras depending on your options, so there are two different hole patterns to fit both cameras, depending on which one you have. I also have extension cables available to purchase along with the filler panel if you choose to mount your camera. Made from 1/8” aluminum and texture powder coated so it should last as long as your Alu-Cab Canopy Camper.

I think you answered the question, but want to make sure, I could put my back up camera in this and wolfbox mirror camera? I need to just send you my credit card so you can keep it on file!

HAHA! It will only hold one camera. You could drill and mount another camera pretty easy. I still have my Brandmotion camera above the door. The 4 holes are for the two different cameras. two holes for each camera because their mounting holes are slightly different

One last question on this topic:

Which shutoff valve are you using there? Thanks!
Nothing I can provide a link for, it came out of the plumbing aisle at Ace Hardware. Main things I chose were no lead and a small but not too small lever. Here is a close up, in case it helps:

What are those bags and how are you mounting them?

The bags are from Last US Bag. I have both the caddy and half caddy:
https://lusboutdoors.com/shop/lusb302-caddy-26x15x2-5/
https://lusboutdoors.com/shop/half-caddy-13x15x2-5/

They are mounted via 813 fabrications molle panels. Available in versions compatible with the water tank and without:

https://www.813fabrication.com/product-page/alu-cab-canopy-camper-front-wall-molle-panel-no-tank

I'm super happy with everything above. Excellent fit and finish, excellent customer service. The owner of 813 is active here has a TON of awesome products for the gladiator and alu-cab.

I wanted to share a quick story from a customer that contacted me this week. He is ordering the Dead Bolt Lock Kit that I offer after having his camper broken into. The photo he sent me really got me thinking. I don't want to share it outside of the group as honestly, I feel it would be irresponsible by giving others the info. You can see on his handle that they tried to cut it with a cut-off wheel. The thieves knew EXACTLY what to do to get into the camper quickly. Without finishing the cut, they simply removed the ONE screw and bolt from the handle and opened the door. I tried this yesterday while leaving the pad lock on the handle. It was simple and quick. Scary. He said they stole over $20k in tools, hunting gear, camping gear, battery, etc. from inside the camper within a few minutes. Security footage shows the thieves over 3 days casing the area and watching the truck. He had it parked at a hotel. Luckily another hotel had good footage as well and they tracked them down the next day. They were in a stolen truck. Some of his gear was recovered from the truck and their home but not all.

This is by-no-means me trying to sell you on a lock kit. It's an expensive setup that I wish I could get the cost down on. I just wanted to share my concern. I am looking at swapping the bolts with some sort of security bolt to at least slow a thief down. If the dead bolt is installed and armed it does not matter if they get past the handle. The door will still not open. A thief will need to remove all of the the door hardware or pry and destroy the door to get in. I am also switching some of the door hardware to security bolts and may make these part of the lock kit if I can source a good one. Another idea I am going to work on is a handle cover to make it harder to cut as well as cover the mounting screws.

Again, not using this as a sales pitch, I just wanted to share as it wasn't something I really considered when putting together the lock kit. I am glad I did now!

In case you do want more info on the lock kit, here is a link. Let me know if you have any questions!

The security bolt idea has been floating around in my head also. Once sourced, should be a simple conversion.

Not having the truck here at the momemt, I can't check, but couldn't you drill another hole into the handle close to the pivot bold and secure that with a padlock?

The thing is, as soon as someone comes with an angle grinder, all bets are off anyways. It's probably also very likely that you could force the diminutive locks in the side doors with a screwdriver. If someone knows what they're doing, they are in. This isn't a hardened security shell. It would probably take me about 60 seconds with a cordless driver ...
