Can't say I'm at my happiest making the first cut ever into my Gladiator, but having the snorkel is a good thing. I found water pooled in my stock air filter box! That and a dirty filter after only 12,000 miles. All that dust in the San Juan mountains seemed to overcome the stock system's ability to cope. I am believing this is a better setup.Looks like a quality kit for sure. Not sure if I'd be able to bring myself to make that cut though. Engine should be happier with that nice cool clean air.
I didn't enjoy the cut initially, but frankly, once you've done some damage you might as well just finish the thing. The end product of the cut is not factory fresh looking like a stamping might appear, but the bezel/trim ring makes it all work.Looks like a really nice system. I do like the way the bezel cleans up the hood cut, makes it a bit more palatable.
TrueJCR was pretty popular when TJ's and Cherokee's were being heavily modded - but since the JK theres been a bunch of new options on the market. I dont think that necessarily speaks to their product, just the climate. You know, like when anything 'new' comes to market it becomes all the craze.
