I bought my truck used and it still had the Sirius trial going. I tried it for a bit, but never really had a use for it; there's nothing it does my phone doesn't do better. When it expired I started getting the sales calls (thanks, Jeep, for giving them my contact details); I finally convinced them to take me off their call list in accordance with federal law. So the mail started arriving like snowflakes in a blizzard, but that's easy enough to ignore with the other junkmail.

If you don't respond to this tactic, you starting getting junk mail with a generic return address and no company logo - but it's still bulk rate presorted on the postmark, so it goes straight in the bin without being opened.

That brings me to today; I get in the truck for a short trip, so I don't plug in my phone. I get a message on screen immediately that my Sirius has been reactivated for another trial with an "Okay" or "Make Call" button, presumably to call and reactivate the paid service. Hit "Okay" and move on -- but wait, now another nagging window pops up telling me how important it is to call and activate for this super-duper ultra-special because-I've-been-a-good-boy-all-year-offer.

I admittedly have a very low tolerance for advertising in general, but this is too much. I didn't sign up for Sirius to use my screen in my truck to serve me their ads. I signed no EULA or purchase agreement with that language, thanks to buying my truck used from a GM dealer. So, has anyone managed to get Sirius to go play hide and go f*ck themselves for good? Teach me your ways.
I did, and I now get it annually for nearly 1/3 list price.

Only issue I have had in 20 some years was the calling up a week before the automatic yearly payment kicks in to ask for a promotion deal or cancel and this year they put me on what I think they referred to as a Sirius advantage plan which pretty much meant they gave me a promotional subscription range price that I now pay per month and never changes so I don't have to call yearly they said because I have been with them so long . Time will tell but they have not lied to me yet. My friend is always pissed at them for a number of reasons but I have found most of his reasons is he don't pay attention and hears what he wants too then bitches .

I don't think you quite grasp what I'm trying to do here. I don't want it at 1/3 the price, or any price. I want Sirius to stop bothering me entirely and randomly turning the service on in my truck to accompany their pop up ads.

I have a lifetime subscription that I signed up for with Sirius before they merged with XM. I paid $350 back in 2007. I only pay $35 to transfer it to a new radio which I'm permitted to do 3 times. I guess they thought I would by more cars in that time. I just used my first transfer last year when my wife got her new Subaru Ascent. That was the best deal of my life! LOL!

Good luck with that - this is America!

Why I ordered mine without. Blessing in disguise.
Did not think it was possible to not get a radio without the Sirius enabled radio unless it was a Canadian market model.

I have heard some people ask the dealership to not enable the service though as part of vehicle delivery.

I’m in the US.
Somehow on my Sport S with the 7” screen it’s not equipped.
Doesn’t show up and I checked with the dealer after the fact.
SiriusXM guardian works though.
I don’t pay for that shiz anymore though.
Specifically wanted to make sure my fob had a remote start button unlike my wife’s Subaru that is app only.
I don’t think the antenna array can be unequiped is what the gotcha is.

Bought my gladiator with the 5" radio. Got rid of the Sirius B.S. by swapping in the insane audio head unit!

Do you have the "Technology Group" option? I think that is what is needed to have Sirius Radio.

If you have the base instrument cluster, you do not have the Technology Group.

My wife has a Sirius subscription and listens to their programming in her Discovery. I prefer to listen to talk radio, HAM radio or nothing.

My ability to ignore their sales calls and willingness to screw with them far exceeds their ability to sell me anything.

I don't. I had to add USB ports to the back of the center console. What a joke FCA. Such a basic feature for people with kids. Make me spend $4k for USB ports in the back.
