I agree. I sat on the idea for quite a while. Then they went on sale, and I was trapped.

I do like how those are up out of the way. I’ll be looking into whether I can do with 4 added switches or not so I can use those instead of a 6 switch panel.

It's been a while since I saw what happened, but somehow they managed to infuse new lives into the Doctor, it's kinda hokey, but I think the Doc now has another set of 12, or something like that. My wife kept watching and enjoyed the 11th doc, but once David Tennant left I was pretty much done with it.

Remounted the RTT so it comes off the side instead of the back. Also created some spacers to give me a touch extra head room.

Will cut them off in the future if/when I replace the rails with the taller ones. Happy with the RTT/awning setup currently.

They make an 8 switch model that replaces the entire grab handle. JL800 I think. I knew I’d have two switches to spare going to 8 total for me, including the existing aux switches.

I’m curious if having them on the grab handle gets in the way when using the handle to get in the jeep.
I’ll have to check how I use the handle to see if there will be conflict.

My wife and I do........ that's one reason for me to avoid anything on any Jeep grab handles. They are actually used as grab handles.
Odd, isn't it? something with such a name actually being used for the purpose the name implies?

That’s one place the 4 button might work out. If I only use the lower portion or I’m able to adjust to only using that part of the handle. Have to check that out.

I was thinking about the 4 button one on top, but ever since then I noticed when I use the grab handle my thumb subconsciously rests on the top cover.
