But the question is do they make it in a tall and skinny?

Hahahaha, was watching videos on tires last night and the guy mentioned GY coming out with a new Duratec and here you start talking about it. Don't need any for a bit, just got my 23 but still good to keep in the know for when it is time to replace them.

Have you heard any noise reports? My buddy had duratracs on his z71 1500. Great tire for rain and snow, but god are they noisy now with around 30k on them....

Goodyear states that ride quality is improved, however, noise can be subjective, and for that reason, you should take advantage of the 60 day satisfaction guarantee if you find them to be noisy. You can also utilize Discount Tires return policy for piece of mind.

Got me all excited. I've had 4 sets of Duratracs on my 4runner. Wanted to get them for the JTR but nothing bigger 305. That's too bad. If they have 37s or 38s, I'd order them today.
By they way, is there any discounts or deals going on at America's Tires?

I put 285/75/17s of these on my WIllys. Virtually zero road noise. Because of the size, 34s but measure a hair over 33s, I do notice the weight. They handled amazingly in this last snow/rain/sleet storm we just got in Connecticut. I highly recommend. As ttn333 stated, without 35+ sizes they are only going to get a small amount of interest from this group. I'd be interested in them in a 37 (actual size 37, regardless if they call it a 38 like BFG).

Biggest size I see in a 17" wheel is 265/70R17 which will make it a nonstarter. Really a missed opportunity for GY. Will be missing the JL, JT, Bronco, and Raptor audience who all run 35" tires on a 17" wheel. I'd really like to see a skinnyish size like my 35x11.50x17 Toyo ATiii's.

Did you see the Duratrac RT-LT? There are a few bigger sizes for this tire.

Maybe you're thinking of the original Duratrac? There is the original Duratrac and the Duratrac R/T that is being discussed here.

The OG Duratrac comes in 35x12.50x17 and 285x70x17.

The Duratrac RT doesn't come in either of those sizes.

There is a Duratrac RT-LT that comes in 285x70x17 and 285x75x17.

255/85/17 is perfect for weekend warriors. Wonder how they compare to these. I have more mud, and logging trails than rocks near me. Excluding silver lake dunes in the mitten state.
