Hey guys, I have a 3-year-old, 58-lb German Shepherd. Her name is Rosie.

I am struggling to find a dog bed/seat cover for the rear seat that works.

She is a pretty agile dog; she can jump from the ground onto the seat without problem. My issue is that I can't find a seat cover/dog bed that stays in place. I've ordered and returned three different items because they DO NOT stay in place.

Right now I am using this - the Kurgo Loft Bench Seat Cover. It works well; stays in place for the most part. The issue is that it doesn't have a lot of grip which means Rosie slides all over the seat.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a dog bed/seat cover that will work?

PS - I am leasing the truck so I don't want to remove the rear seat.

These are two other dog beds I tried and returned --on both of them the lower cushion refuses to stay in place:

I use the hammock style on the 40% side of the rear and on the 60 I flip the bottom seat up and place her large oversized bed down over the floor and storage case. I also use thin skins to protect the doors. Works great for me.

We’ve had Labs pretty much straight for the past thirty years. Best one I’ve found that‘s in the Glad is from a company called 4knines. It is the hamock style, but Sailor doesn’t like to be isolated so I folded the front bit under the seat. We‘ve had it since we got the Glad in July of 22 and it has held up really well. I can even lift one side of the rear seat without ripping it. Ripping was a problem with the kurgos we had in my wife’s Q5. We’d go to flip the seat backs down and sooner or later the cover would tear.

The multifunction with hammock. It has zippers for the seat backs that are sort of close to how the back splits.

I have bought a few of the hammock style ones over the years because my Bulldog gets bored and decides to chew on the covers. He doesn't chew on the seats which is great.

The Kurgo ones were always good from my experience with them but I bought a couple of cheaper ones on amazon that had good reviews.

Thanks for the recommendations guys.

I ordered this hammock style dog bed from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CB335HWM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

It has a hard, wide bottom. So I may be able to toss a dog bed on top of it.

Hope this one works.

Please update here if it fits well. We currently use a hammock style with an inflatable seat extender so our GSD has more room. However this would give us some seat storage back if it works!

Orvis, Mud River and Kurgo make nice hammock styles, mine is one of the three purchased at Bass Pro Shops.
Good luck.

Weathertech.com ans two tarp clips from harborfreight.com and a bungie keeps the bottom tight! On mine. Back already stays good between the loops for headrests and the attached velcro to the rug on the seat back.
Have 1 for the jku and 1 for the jt
