So, it seems these 2023 gladiators were not the best quality … this is my latest, newest, grandest and most expensive gladiator but riddled with quality issues … one of which is that the toolbar looks to have been banged on and squeezed by a tool before it was painted …

Anyone ever seen a damaged roll bar from the factory ?!?!

How would this even be fixed?

I’ll make a list of all other quality issues, but this is unacceptable! Especially when my first (of 3) 36k gladiator was flawless!

Just a bummer to buy a 75k jeep and have simple defects that should have been caught by QC.

A dealer should take care of those items for you, they took care of a paint run on one of my doors. Any pics so we can appreciate the state of the skilled laborers?

Not sure how they’d fix that. The metal is pretty beefy. Sand, fill and paint???

I think it would depend on the amount of damage done. Have them look at it, maybe the replace the bar, maybe the are able to put it back in place. It is kind of hard to give a real opinion without seeing what you are seeing.

Believe me you though, upset we should be.

Must have been a Friday build. If its any consolation, my Tesla door hinges look like a 9 year old took a ball-peen hammer to it. But with the doors closed, I just forget about it. American craftsmanship just ain’t what it used to be.

That stinks, and I thought Tesla and their automation would be better than that …

I got about 12-18 inches in a straight line of constant tattering looks like someone bored with a hammer, and a solid 3x.75” indentation at the end of that line. It’s slight and I didn’t notice until today. I’ve owned the vehicle almost a month.

The door on that same corner was also installed crooked, it straightens out when latched but takes force to close, the opposite corner has a small crack in the hard top. Factory spray in bedliner had over spray all over the place, Badly fouled O2 sensor failed at 60mi, missing a couple fender flare plastic rivets and the MPG is about 20% lower than my last gladiator ecodiesel. I struggle to make 25mpg doing 65-70 on the highway my last one would be a tick over 30mpg, same route (same job).

I know these are minor, but my “feeling” is that I just want to swap with another one. I know if people’s iPhone had so much as a fuzz on their precious phones, they’d return it immediately.

Anyways, I am going to do my first oil change when I hit 1500mi (break in particles), I’ll have the dealer do it and look at all the issues.

Yikes. That is a lot of issue and not just one dent in the roll bar. My 2023 JTM has none of those issues. Yours? Definitely a Friday build.

See, that’s almost ok. Just replace the top. I don’t think the toolbar can be removed like the older jeeps.

I’ll report back with what the dealer says. Imm probably take it in Friday for “the list” and an oil change.

It’s an ecodiesel, and our tanks have about 17 usable gallons so closer to 500mi.
Thanks for this. It’s actually larger than 17. When the light kicks on and topping off to the neck it’s consistently 18-18.5 gallons.

So your economy has dropped to
Roughly 20mpg @70mph.

Do they use winter fuel in your area? Stock tires-or the ecu accounting for larger?

20 is what we see in town, 22 on highway with larger tires.

when you refill is it the same station most of the time?

Woah, I never pushed my tank that hard, always 17 at most. Supposedly our tank is 18 gallons … but I am currently on stock rubicon mud terrain tires. My gladiator rubicon on stock tires is about the same as my 80th anniversary on 37in KO2s and a Mopar lift.

So this 2023 Gladiator I cannot get more than 25mpg, which is good, but not like my last one. My last one got 30.2 going from Phoenix to Albuquerque at 75mph, and when I got home the 1100mi trip was saying an average of 29.7mi.

Is it possible that the falken wild peak MT are tat much worse than the stock 80th anniversary tires? I upgraded my LJ 32” KO2 with 33x10.50 KM3 mud terrains and the mileage is the same.
