How do you know they are showing you the true invoice price? I’ve read some articles that say there’s more than one invoice that they can show you.

You can bump the numbers against the PDF's in the buyers guide thread if they are updated to figure out if the invoice price is correct.

One thing that will never be shown on either the buyers guide or the invoice pricing sheet is how much holdback the dealer is holding from corporate that may influence how much more or less a dealer may give for discount pricing beyond invoice.

There's only so many '23s left, so I get not being able to find something spec'd the way you want it. I was set to order a '24 Mojave or Mojave X...but on a whim, I reviewed the '23 inventory left within 250 miles of me. I was willing to drive 6-7 hours away, but luckily found one on lot within 45 miles of me. Contacted the dealer about it, went in on Saturday, and drove off with it. It was essentially a Mojave X via a la carte options and packages. Ultimately, I got $20k off, and they even threw in an extended warranty up to 100k miles on top of that. They just wanted to move it.

I liked some of the '24 changes, but it was really hard to justify them in light of those discounts. If you're willing to travel a bit, you may find something *really* damn close to what you want for an insane price.
You can get the front and rear steel bumpers cheap on marketplace, and then swap in 2024 Mojave X springs:

Front springs -68607513AB
Rear springs - 68607529AA

I paid $250 for my rear steel bumper and bed sliders. Holding out for a $600 steel front. Came close a couple times at $700.

I saw that Koon's was offering 8.2%-8.8% off of invoice on a 2024 order.

Might be worth the drive to Tysons Corner, VA to pick one up. You can do the order thru email.

Yep, and they're very responsive. I'm currently hammering out details on a possible build. Won't really be in the market until May due to other financial obligations but figure if I can order what I want now, it may time out for delivery right around the time I'm ready.

So... just found out some rather devastating news from Koons:

I can order a Mojave X right now but it won't have SelecTrac. See below.

You can order the Mojave X, but currently it wouldn't come with the Selec Trac as that is not available. Jeep has not stated when it will be available to order with it at this time. I would assume it is late availability

Keep in mind mine came in only 6 weeks from Koons. Nice surprise.....unless you're not expecting it so soon LOL.

Not the end of the world but I'm just irritated that a major mechanical feature of this otherwise overpriced package is not available, and ultimately it's the ONLY reason why the X is attractive to me. (and probably others, too).

Stellantis yet again proves they're absolutely shitty at coordinating suppliers.

Wow that is big.

I know when I spoke to them, they told me that it was included in the X.

Really is.

If I didn't know any better I'd think Jeep was intentionally trying to crater sales.

If I ordered a base Mojave right now with tech group, cargo group, and convenience group I'd land at $63,420. With Koon's discounts thats just under $56K.

If the X base pricing is coming out to about $70-72K, it really is a rip off even if it is adding power seats, leather, and body colored top/fenders. Selectrac was under $1k for any Mojave when it was available.

Maybe I'll just wait until Jeep is sitting on so many '24's they start slashing prices hard... in August.

That’s odd because it’s on all the ones that I’ve seen that have been delivered to dealerships. Maybe he was mistaken.

Possibly. But Jeep has done goofy shit like this before- last year they took SelecTrac away entirely mid year and shifted them to 4XE production only. Which... is why I didn't but a JTM then. Was hoping it would be coming back but this is nuts.

True. They’re out there now though. I know it requires an auto transmission.

Right, which is the part that makes LESS sense. Then again, they released a video today stating 2024 production began in Toledo while still not updating the builder on the site to include 2024 JTs. Hell I can't even search through 2023 inventory still around easily on that site to find one with SelecTrac right now.

Auto vs 6MT doesn't matter to me- my days of driving a proper transmission are coming to an end. Some compressed discs and hip issues along with multiple knee surgeries made that decision for me.

Maybe if, idk, release the build and price tool for a vehicle you could’ve ordered 5 months ago then we would have some answers. lol
