The other day I was replacing the oem air box with a CAI and noticed a small amount of green coolant in the bottom of the air box. Has anyone seen this in their rig???

Not sure what you see but our coolant is not green The only thing I can even think of is possibly some spilled ac leak detection dye

it was about the size of a dime, not much but it was hulk blood green. I haven't noticed anything out of the norm elsewhere, and I know my way around a vehicle or two. Thanks for the insight.

The only fluid I know of that is “green” and it’s more “green-ish?” Is the electronic power steering fluid…

coolant is pretty purple. Oil is pretty gold-(mine is black….), brake fluid is clear and then turns brownish…, not many other fluids in the motor bay? Windshield washer fluid comes in an assortment of colors….

do you see green fluid in ANY of your reservoirs??

What was the condition of the factory air filter when you removed it? Did it have any fluid or water type damage to the media?

Our coolant isn't green. Power steering fluid is. Pics would help.

People Work?
Let's rewind a bit more.
It's a 2020?
Do you do your own service normally?
Is it possible that someone (you or a tech) was doing normal service and had an opened container of bright green fluid, be it PS fluid, coolant additive, or whatever, and accidentally spilled a bit into the opened air box?

So I had the same thing happen a couple weeks ago, BUT I know what it was. About a week or so before I discovered it I had taken my truck to a car wash. This was after a 3 day weekend of wheeling hard and in the mud. Because of all the mud everywhere I opted to use the engine cleaner selection to clean the engine bay. Guess what color it is? Hulk blood green. Looks identicle to the old style ethylene glycol used in old school radiators. Well some inadvertently got in the air box and settled in the bottom. Have you recently cleaned the engine bay using something like this?

New out of the Jug, the stuff is purple. Does not stay that way for long once in service.

Edit: Attached is the Mopar Coolant SDS sheet and it even mentions a "Purple Dye" for the color properties.
