well when your doing DoD related stuff. either its balls to the wall, uncle Sam needed it last week or hurry up and clock in a 4:30 am and then wait for the higher ups to finish due process before you can actually do anything, which can be weeks. but yeah its totally the Techs fault we are behind. ?

I feel that pain, I’m in logistics, specifically truckload shipping. It’s either balls to the wall or “hang on we need to get the PO’s straightened out but go ahead and send a guy in and have him wait 10 hours”

We do a little government work here and there, it’s always fun dealing with SAM and waiting for procurements.

You should post that in the "how do I keep mice away" thread.

I was never bored when I was working. My world got busier since then. What is being bored like?
It didn't matter how early I went in to get things done while no one was using the servers or network, or when I was with PFG, running the core drill and running new electric and network cables for an office move - someone would somehow know I'd be there and "can you come fix this", or whatever.
When one project was done there were others waiting in the wings no matter what.
Even when I worked in the shops - cars - if the customers weren't coming in, you needed to perform maintenance on the equipment and you'd just get something torn down to work on it - in comes a customer and that equipment was needed ASAP.

And when I thought I was slowing down in my shop by not taking on more work and telling people "it will be at least 3 months before I can get to it", Tuesday, a guy drops off a box of parts from a 1919 or so REO 4 cylinder engine he wants plated - the valve train on this thing is so advanced for the time. Ransom Eli Olds knew what he was doing.
