Needed to run coax from under drivers seat to antenna mount in bed but didn't want to run it thru clutch hole (already used for ham rig) all the way to the bed of the truck.

So I was looking under the cab and saw a hole plug even with back door on drivers side. Pulled the back seat carpeting near the door and found it under some thick weather seal tape.

See photos for details. Worked great for my purpose.
I hope this can help others as I haven't seen this hole identified before.

I ran my booster antenna coax through a drain hole under the rear passengers footwell.

What I'm more impressed with is how you got the trim removed. I can't, for the life of me, get mine removed!

You lost me going from the door sill to wherever you went from there. Where did it exit the cab?

This is great, btw, thank you for sharing it! I will ultimately be putting a CB and/or GMRS antenna(s) back there.

I ran mine through the air vent on the back of the cab since my WeBoost sits in that little pocket the rear seat. Then the cable runs up to the top of the Diamondback and back to the antenna at the far back.

I exited the cab through the hole plug in the floor behind the drivers seat, it is in the photo that shows the coax being covered with the original weather proof tape.

How did you get to the air vent? Do you have to pull the back seat out or anything?
Would like to see a pic of it from inside the cab.

I’ll have to take a picture when I get a chance. I believe I drilled a hole in the back plastic wall of the jeep where that shelf is (where the Bluetooth speaker would live if you got that option) and just fish taped through the vent from the outside or maybe just used the rigid cable itself. I don’t remember. I do remember it was surprisingly easy. The vent is directly behind that little shelf, so it was a straight shot into the cab and. Through my hole. Of course the vent also has rubber flaps that get slightly disrupted from the cable feeding through them but to me wasn’t a big deal. The cable does a 90° up towards the bed and the cover where I zip tied it. I added some foam to the back of the cab to keep the cable from smacking against it and making noise.

I do not recommend attempting to remove the back wall unless you plan to do a lot of stuff back there, e.g. polyfill and seal the subwoofer, etc. The back plastic wall has stanchions with clips on them that attach to the back sheet metal of the cab. They will break off when you attempt to remove it. I did not have to remove the seat, just lower the back as that little shelf is midway up the wall so you can reach whatever you’ve stashed there. My WeBoost is velcroed in place in that shelf/cubby. Its power wires run under the flooring to the Aux wiring under the dash. I’m thinking of cutting that and running the power back to my Garmin PowerSwitch in the bed that runs off my LifePO battery but that would be going back through the vent and then I’m not sure where. It would be a pain in the ass so I may just keep Aux 4 as my WeBoost switch.

There is a rubber plug under each front seat that is easy to modify. I ran power lines for ARB compressor through the one on pass side and power to inverter/110V cord to bed through driver side. Easy no drill.

I used that hole for both my coax and for the RSE steps.
