Hey Everyone,

Im wanting to lift the truck myself and install the 2.5 AEV Suspension lift with the geo brackets. I will be throwing 37s on there with the Borah 17in wheels paired with 37x12.5x17 KO2's. I have rubicon fenders installed so I think I should be good for fender clearance. I know the axle is narrower on the overlands, how much narrow are we talking? will the 37s still rub? Soon after I will be re-gearing to 4.88 or 5.13 gears.

I guess I'm looking for pictures of those who have the same lift or similar style set up or if anyone has any advice (wheel spacing/offset with overland axle) (37s on 2.5in lifted overland)

Will I have to buy a 5th Borah wheel or will my steely spare work if I mount a 37 on it.

I appreciate all responses,
Thank you

You’ll have to double check the spare, I can’t remember if it’s a 17 or 18ā€ diameter. Aside from that, you should be fine on clearance. What’s the specs on the AEV wheels as far as offset? I run 17x8.5 -6 offset on my overland and don’t rub anywhere. I did 2ā€ spacers up front on 37s with standard fenders but never wheeled it hard on that setup. Now I’m on 4.5ā€ lift front and 3ā€ rear on 37s and have miles of room to spare. I also don’t disconnect because I’m pretty sure I’ll lose the stock driveshaft if I do ?

If you have highline fenders, you fit 37s especially KO2s easily. A 2in lift is more than enough. you could probably get away with a 3/4 to 1in if ya wanted. But the Bilstein's with the AEV kit are worth the ride improvement imo. As far as axle width, i think the non widetracks are 3/4 or 1in narrower i believe? Its not too important for fitment. anywhere from +18 to 0 offset will give ya the clearance you need. So the Borah will work great. You can use your spare as a spare but it won't have the right offset so u may be rubbing with it, if ya have to use it on the front. Plus you want a 5 wheel rotation if your gonna buy bigger tires. It makes them all last longer and wear better. You'll look kinda funny with 1 steelie rotating around. 4.88s or 4.56s would be my recommendation to match your tire size. 5.13 is deep enough for true 38s/39s. KO2s run small for 37s so if you had factory 4.10s you could scrape it easily enough.

I did the AEV 2.5 dual sport lift on my 2022 Overland and canā€˜t be happier. I did put a used 35x12.50-17 on stock spare wheel. Only thing not liking about that is how far down it hangs. I can see hitting it on some of the stuff I do with the longer wheel base. Don’t want to move it to the bed because I load stuff in the bed when using it for a toad behind my motorhome.

Looks great Joe, you'll love it even more once you get some 37s on there!
