So - my best buddy is a bit extra. His toys have 'too much' horsepower, he has all the coolest guns, all the neatest tools.

Well, he had to have the most fun car trailer too. He had been gathering up odd and end lights over the last few years and I finally brought his trailer home with me to lace it all out. I installed an Auxbeam 8 switch panel with wireless remote to control the front work lights, rear work lights, underbody lights, amber / white warning lights (two on each side and two in the rear, wired to flash in sync with each other), as well as control the in and out functions on the winch.

It's a bit extra - and we love it. I also installed a trickle charger in the tongue box along with a shoreline receptacle to plug it in neatly.

Enjoy. Lots of pictures attached to show the various lights / combos of lights turned on and off. Can control everything from your driver seat with no additional wires running up to the truck. I am going back and adding relays in the trailer box to also allow the underbody lights and rear work lights to function in reverse.

Needs deck lights, like landing lights at an airport ?
Soooo....

We were measuring for that the other night to see what size lights I needed to fit between the diamonds on the deck.

I'm a little disappointed, from the title I expected neons running underneath...

While it would be cool all we had was white lighting on hand lol. The underbody lights I put in though are perfect for watching where the tandems are tracking (good for tight driveways and narrow roads) so from a functionality perspective we did well I think.

I thought it was going to be an enclosed aluminum car trailer with A/C, an awning, 4K 65” led tv etc.… Your friend needs to up his game!

Still more features than any flat deck we've ever seen around here

Go out to Moab, and see some of the trailers that some of the rock buggies come on. :surprised:

Having been to Moab twice - I totally can see that being a thing.

After almost turning my motorcycle into poorly lit / black colored trailers at night on a couple of occasions - I can appreciate it!

Wow!!!

I'd suggest you add a couple lights to the back of the fender wells. Maybe some that swivel. So you could point them towards the deck to see the back end of what you are tying down. They could also be ditch lights for backing up.

The deck lights your thinking of would probably do the same.

Recently my buddy ran over one of the rear spot lights and crushed one of the tail light boxes while loading a dually on the trailer.

So we will probably be doing something like your suggestion next 😂
