As the title suggests. I have a slue of stock parts from all the upgrades over the last year and a half. I am curious how long folks have kept them before deciding to sell. This is going into year 2 of having stock parts removed and in the yard covered.

I would like to get rid of unneeded things, but depending on the specifications of the proposed 2025 4xe JT, if the specs are right for me, and if all my current items can be transferred over, I would seriously consider trading in. Which means either selling all my current aftermarket parts with the current JT and re-acquiring everything (very expensive), or returning the JT to stock and keeping the accessories to transfer over to the new JT (very time consuming). I would probably prefer the latter due to cost and having all winter of preferring not to drive in salt, to transfer things. But it would definitely suck. A personal choice I know, just curious at others experience to gauge my own interest in options. For reference I have most of the typical stuff, F/R bumpers, Rubi skid plates, tonneau cover, freedom panel bags, Rubi rock rails, Rubi suspension components (all).

Keep it in case you modified your current vehicle before trading back in.

I kept everything that came off the first truck I bought in July 2019. I removed most of the mods and returned it to stock when I traded it in February 2024. I left the SimpleAux board and the SGW extension cable in it.

I think the better question would be how long do you keep them up for sale before just posting them in the pay it forward section? As soon as I remove a stock part I post it for sale. After a month or so I end up giving them away or throwing them in the trash. My stock diesel suspension got tossed in the trash with only 4k miles. My wife's Willys Wrangler suspension will be thrown away in a week or so with 867 miles on it. Only thing I've managed to actually get money for was stock bumper and fenders with lights. I think I got 50 bucks for all of it. Rock sliders with 12 miles on them... can't even give them away, I even offered to sell AND install for 100 bucks and still no bites. I'm not interested in having a bunch of parts laying around for any period of time, but that's just me.

I usually just throw them away. If it happens to be a desirable item I may post it for sale

Stock steering stuff, pitch. Stock suspension, post it for sale, no movement in 4 weeks, pitch.

Exterior pieces not available on all trim levels, post it for sale, when you're tired of storing it, pitch.

I don't keep any OEM pieces to maybe go back to stock.

If you see someone has a need for something you've taken off, offer it up for free (shipping extra).

Yup - very thankful I've kept the parts..
I have stuff I'll never use, but the dealers here always say "put it back to stock as you bought it". So it's easy.
You really can't trade around here without putting them back to stock.
I don't like buying parts twice so keep what will be needed for any future trade.

It's your call, no one can tell you what to do! It's all personal based on your truck, your space, your future plans and more.

Yeah, and I'm not really in the game to be trying to make cash off of the stock parts. I mostly am looking at it from a 'do I want to transfer the aftermarket stuff to a potential trade in' or not.

This is pretty much what I think as well. I guess the real question is, is the amount of time and bad words worth the $$ lost if said aftermarket parts had to be purchased again, or will they still be in good condition in another few years or rusty. Or even still, will something change on the JT making them not usable anymore. All things only time will really tell. I have high hopes for this JTR 4xe

Well, since the dealers here want them to be stock before receiving them, I either keep them, or buy them again.

Since I have to remove after-market parts from the one I trade in, it's not much to think about.
