What ages you or makes you feel old?

I had an idea for this driving into work when a Rob Zombie song came on the classic rock radio station. The grunge and metal I listened to in the 90’s is classic rock. It has been for awhile, but it kind of hit me this morning.

Another one recently, is I was talking to a young employee about technology and mentioned the first iPod was released when I was in college, and blackberry was cool and only for executive staff at my first job.

Age doesn't make me feel old. Sore feet (long 12+ hour days at work) and tendonitis (sp?) in my shoulders that occasionally flares up does. Otherwise, I feel pretty darned good. I'm 55 years old and in generally very good health. And, of course, my Jeeps make me feel young.

At 55 I felt good. At 64 I retired. Now at 72 I still do my own mods and lots of work around the house but I do move slower. My neck hurt and stiff. I feel some strength going away everywhere. Some nights I sleep good and others not. I can't walk as far as I used to go but I can still do a mile without stopping. For me getting old is a mental thing. Just not wanting to do stuff. No wife or kids, but plenty of money. So what make me feel old? more and more every day.

Those mechanical bulls they got in country bars… got on one for the first time in a long time. I’ll tell you I’m not as good as I once was, but I was good once as I ever was.

At 55......at the tailend of menopause (sorry, had to say it ) - the body just doesn't work like it used to. The mind still thinks you can go-go-go all day long (and you can) only to feel the pain the next day. And those mysterious aches & bruises that show up out of nowhere for no apparent reason...that take FOREVER to heal??

You know you're getting older when you try to stay away from the Jone's and don't care what anyone thinks. The anti-trend follower!! Ha!

I'm 68. I'm old. I'll admit it. Wake up in the morning with no aches and pains. It's going to be a good day, and I'll over do it at some point. I'll pay the price the next morning. Take 2 aspirin and keep going. Hip replacement at the age of 47. 13 surgeries. Shit load of broken bones over the years. My orthro surgeon asked what I did. I told him that my youth has caught up to me. Pickin' fights in bars, jumping off motorcycles at a buck 20, riding bulls at 2am, jumping out of perfectly good airplanes, hold my whiskey and watch this shit. He told to stop because he might not be able to put me back together again. So I did. Quit doing trackdays with a motorcycle, and started using my Nismo.

I remember my 18th bday 1978 after the concert we could not find my car in downtown indy for over an hour.
