Jeep related but not my Gladiator. My daughter's JK windshield cracked due to a rock chip in May 2022. We went to the Glass Doctor in Ft Collins which has performed well in the past. We have them replace the glass and decided to "upgrade" to Gorilla Glass. Fast forward to April 2024 and she came out one morning to find the Gorilla glass had multiple cracks in very large semi-circles on both sides on the windshield. No other damage or rock hits and you could only feel the crack on the inside of the glass.
We took it to Ft Collins Glass Doctor who said Gorilla glass has a 2 year warranty but you have to go to Ft Collins Jeep since it was purchased from the parts department. Working with the Ft Collins Jeep dealer has been another story. They took pictures and said they would file a claim and get back with us. 3 weeks past and no reply, so we reached back out. At first they indicated they didn't submit a claim because they "knew it would be denied" but they later change the story and said it was denied. They told us to reach out to Jeep Cares. @JeepCares We spoke with them and they said they had no claim or Gorilla glass associated with that VIN. I tried to explain that the VIN wouldn't be on file unless FT Jeep submitted that with the claim since the Gorilla glass was purchase through the part department with no VIN. After that conversation, they directed me back to the dealer with no resolution.
I've called the dealership but no response since Monday.
Defective glass within the 2 year warranty for some weird cracks with no impact, however no one wants to take responsibility.
