If I disconnect the ground connection, and connect the cables to the charger, then I am charging the Aux battery, correct?

Intelligent Battery Sensor. It monitors the flow in and out of the main battery. The 'Smart' charging system uses information provided by the IBS to assist in decision making.I am looking at the battery voltage on the aux battery it is 12.7v vs main being like 13.xv. My JTRD has 1300 miles. It doesn't get drivem much.
Have developed a few weird symptoms, non start issue today, triggered DTC on fuel level and transmission code, and no Trail cam and no Parkview guidelines.
Decided to charge up the batteries on a legit charger and see disconnecting battery would help with this.
BTW what is IBS?
That's correct. It does assume that both batteries are in good health and that they simply need to be charged, perhaps after a long sit.I thought charging the main battery also charges the auxiliary battery? If so, there's no need to disconnect anything. Put on the charger/maintainer/duslfator and walk away. That's what I do once every two weeks.
You know your Jeep does it that way every time your drive it, right?Thank you! This helps a lot!
@biodiesel I do not like charging two batteries in different capacities in parallel with circuitaries hooked up in between.
Yes I know. But my dumb battery charger doesn't know that. You know your Jeep does it that way every time your drive it, right?
I am also willing to speculate that is one of the reasons why Jeeps have so much issues with Aux batteries..
Oh boy. Here we go again! As I am learning about Jeep aux batteries online, I found this video.
Mind boggling and this makes me wonder if the engineers forgot to update the schematic or the harness maker made a mistake.
