@kevman65 - I did some further research and both RedRock and Extreme Terrain are owned by the same company, Turn5 inc.

That sucks to hear. Too bad a lot of the Jeep accessory market brands are wrapped up in these larger corporate umbrella and hard to keep track of who is who. They have retail arms like ET they hide behind and you almost need F*ck You money to take them to court to make them do what is right.

I had a somewhat similar recent experience with RealTruck ordering an item last month predicated on a rebate that needed to be sent by August 1st but they could only give me a ship estimate on July 29th. Refused to refund and just had to do a charge-back.

Not that it helps with your current post, I don’t ever do anything with rebates anymore. Been there, done that with computer hardware. It gives someone else your money, where they have last mover’s advantage ( think strategery ). If a company can’t provide a discount at the time of sale, I move on. Some of these companies are banking on the notion that their customers ( for whom they treat as mere meat ) will never meet the requirements to cash in. At the very least, they’re using the funds to provide a higher float on their financials. Similar thoughts come to mind when you start talking about warrant ( extended warranty ), or even in-store credit that starts eroding/expiring. Screw that nonsense; cash is king; they either give me the best deal for a good product, or I walk.

I agree wholeheartedly, they appear to be independent but are just a cog in a common corporation that seemingly care nothing about their customers. I saw that RealTruck is also a bunch of different brands.

Yessir, they may get away with screwing us once but, sadly for us, it’s a lesson well learned. I’m planning lots of mods but these companies are not going to be part of this.

Speaking of companies, TeraFlex customer service sent me an email to see if I was satisfied with my last inquiry. I bought 5 Nomad wheels and 3 days later, I saw an ad from Northridge that stated if you bought 5 wheels, you received a Falcon steering stabilizer for free. I was told that I bought them 3 days to early when I got my initial correspondence from them. With this last email, the nice lady informed me that the free stabilizer was only good if you bought the Nomad split spoke wheels which I didn’t. I purchased the original Nomad wheels. That made me feel way better as I never qualified for the free product. It was my mistake as I didn’t read the fine print. Renews my faith in a great company with great communication!

Probably a good way to go elsewhere, but here in Vermont such complaints are handled by students at the University of Vermont, not the state as such. The nonsense to go through when submitting a complaint is itself a deterrent, unfortunately.

I placed a rebate claim with RedRock in March of this year and met all the requirements, including mailing the claim on time.
After 3 months and two calls to RedRock (finally admitting late during the second call they received my claim), the rebate was denied even though I mailed everything they required.
RedRock has zero intention of honoring this legit claim and I wondered what other people have experienced.
Nonetheless, there will be no more RedRock products for my truck.
Yes Redrock (aka-extreme terrain) has denied one of our claims. Said they never received it and now the timeline had expired. It was complete BS. We followed the rules to the T. The company in general is formed around good customer service that's for sure. They're huge in comparison and act untouchable.

@Brucewillys I suspect that is the way they operate - promise a rebate (gift card) that takes 3 months to receive while they hope we forget about it. I’m done with these crooks and I hope word spreads among the Jeep communities.

Agreed, the parts they sell you can get many other places too. Except for their generic rebranded stuff (Redrock, barricade, axiom, mammoth...) in which case go ahead and buy Amazon knockoffs they'll be just as good.
I've experienced excellent customer service from Northridge 4x4, Simpletire, and Throtl
