Ring and notification volume from my phone while connected to CarPlay is set at a extremely high volume, so very annoying!
I’ve tried everything from silencing my IPhone, adjusting volume on the phone and trying to find a volume adjustment on the console, to no avail.
Anyone have any idea what I’m missing and how to adjust the volume of my phone going through the speakers, using CarPlay?

Adjust the volume knob when it's active, like while it's ringing.
^^^ This!!

The volume for your turn by turn directions if using maps through car play is controlled the same way. It can be a PITA to try to "catch" the ringer and adjust the volume. You can sort of "force it" by programming a destination into your map app and Siri will start talking to give the first direction. Just gives you a scenario that you can control while trying to get the right volume setting.

Yes, thank you I’ll give it a try!
Will it stay at the adjusted volume or go back to blasting once you restart?

Also, make sure you use the volume knob to adjust the ringer/alert/Siri volume. Don't use the volume buttons on the back of the steering wheel.

you can use either but you have to be quick. I literally sat in my truck sending myself text messages for 5 minutes trying to catch the alert at the right time to adjust the volume but it's possible

should be a setting menu ffs

It’s weird but for some reason I’m getting no sound at all when someone is calling me and my phone is connected to the truck. I can see the incoming call on the nav screen but there’s no sound. Once I answer the call everything is normal. This one has me a little confused. There must be something I’m missing…

Run your prefered GPS app and pick a short rout. When you get a direction prompt quickly adjust the volume in the middle of the prompt.

What you said is hilarious. But i agree that it should be a menu, like pressing on the volume knob to displays volume bars for various sounds.

All these automakers really should take a cue from Tesla and up their game. It was annoying to use 10 years ago when Navi screens were first becoming standard features. Now, its just embarrassing that consumers are still dealing with these crappy user interfaces.

Stop with using the iPhone and start using Android. I can adjust mine whenever I want. Or even mute it on maps. Also my Bluetooth is adjustable separately from the other volumes.

I'm on android. No, you can't.

You can mute it on maps because the maps app has a mute button. Android auto alerts/notifications/rings you can only adjust the volume when it's active
