Hi guys, I'm looking for wheels to run 35X12.5 on and have run across two peeps on FB market place saying they have OEM jeep wheels that are 17X9, as far as I know they only come in 17X7.5, am I right? Thanks!

Some of the special models like the 392 or recon edition may have come with a wider rim.

There should be a cast stamp on the back side of the rim that tells you the offset and width, Ask the seller to photo that.

Looking through parts fiche and build pages on Jeep, the widest available wheel is 8.5", no 9" listed.

Thank you guys, I figured they didn't know what they are talking about. I'm sure they are probably measuring outside of each edge and not where the bead seats.

probable scam
That's possible but I'd be picking them up in person. I've been searching for wheels that wont break the bank and will also keep 35X12.5 tires relatively inside the flares with not much luck so I was thinking of getting stock wheels that have the correct offset to accomplish that. I hate the look of wheels/tires sticking out and it just puts undo wear and tear on parts.

I have the Rubicon so yes.
Sorry, was browsing on my phone and didn't see your vehicle info.

You might be able to run 12.50 wide on stock 7.5" wheels without wheel spacers.

I had 12.50 wide on stock 8" wide wheels with wide axles and no wheel spacers for a few days. It didn't rub when turning full lock, however I didn't flex it out and check clearance everywhere.

You can run 12.5" tires on an oem rim that is 7.5 without much if any hanging outside the fender. I have this set up with my Mojave and a Rubicon has the same high lift fenders.

No worries, I appreciate all the help!
