The second and third are statistically within the margin of error so they are identical essentially? What do you see on the number two in terms of fuel dilution as compared to number three?
Viscosity higher, lower aluminum, higher tbn. Indicating a healthier cycle. The only thing that changed was the tune.

I see. I was focusing on the 2 wear metals iron and aluminum they were about the same. They are very good numbers but not much changed in these 2 numbers after the revised tune? I messaged GDE and he said they revised it to the legal limit 2 years ago but you just did your retune recently?

So comparing to another report on a Ram 3rd Gen engine that went 4800 miles. They had 17 Aluminum and Iron 16 using an MR tune that stops the post combustion fueling.

Interesting, how many miles on that motor and what oil? I checked my email I got the reflash done in November of 23 my original tune was in April of 23 so I imagine the change was sometime between?

Oil was HPL 10w-40 and the engine has 93k Miles.

Any thoughts on the motor having 3 times the mileage of mine correlating to the reduced wear? I've heard great things About that oil.

The lower wear would have to do with the tuning, oil , filter. QS is mediocre oil. The Pennzoil is better. The best is Amsoil MS, HPL, Liquimoly Next gen. All based on oil analysis. Then the tunning. Since GDE has to stay EPA legal and use post fueling like OEM to heat the SCR, you get more wear. With MR out of Canada they remove that fueling. I want to keep all emissions but remove the post fueling, I believe will use a little more DEF which I don't mind.

Nice find! A new player. Can it beat the EcoGuard. Wish this was a BOSS filter. American brand since 1922 hehe. It's owned by Mann+Hummel which is a good company. It's also made in China which is not suppressing. They claim 99% efficiency *Based on ISO 4548-12 at 20 microns on PL30001
Did you see fram is coming out with theirs too ?

I remember a post on it. It looks like another similar filter.

I'm going to see about testing the Pure 1 filter in a particle count test.

@biodiesel new filter alert
Good info. Thanks for posting. We have a thread on the Ram EcoDiesel forum designated for filters, so I posted the Purolator part number there. I just sent a message to William Stox. He is aware of the Purolator, but he would like to verify its performance by doing some testing. I will post up the results when they get around to testing it.

"PurolatorONE oil filters keep engines operating at peak performance with up to 99% Dirt Removal Power. Available for most domestic and import applications, PurolatorONE optimizes engine life for up to 15,000 miles of advanced protection for most vehicles on the road today. Made with a high-density synthetic blend filter media, PurolatorONE maintains its integrity and filtering capabilities between oil changes."

Awesome, just saw this one as well if it's not on your radar. Looking forward to the testing results myself. I ordered the Purolator. https://www.fram.com/fram-tough-guard-oil-filter-tg12939

I knew Fram was out there, but I hadn't taken the time to add it. I just now added it to the Ram EcoDiesel forum. Fram is supposed to release their newest EcoDiesel filter with their best media, so that's what a lot of folks are waiting for.

Here is Fram's filter with the standard media. Hopefully the new filter (with the better media) will be released soon.
