So I narrowed it down to two rubicons. Ill try and make this concise. I have a feeling I know what yall are gonna say lol.. bear with me, newbie-ish Jeep guy but definitely not a novice in buying

To make it easier to sift through the bs, Im only listing what makes each one unique. Assume everything else is the same except for price. Mileage is actually the same on both

Ok here we go..

BOTH are ecodiesels. No, I do not want a pentastar gas motor

2021 sting grey Rubicon every option, unknown after market bedliner front facing trail cam, trail package ( storage under seat, rear outlet plug tonneau cover ( factory roll back ) black hard top black fenders has method wheels with bfg 35's. Price is 3K higher ( assume no negotiation to make it easier to compare) would cost an addition 2K in fees and shipping/smog.
3/36 warranty is expired. 5/100 is good to august 2026. Aftermarket warrant such as GRANGER is not available due to the 3/36 expired

2022 Sarge Green Rubicon NO front trail cam, LINEX bedliner ( naked but clean) No trail package or front cam. Has nice aftermarket side rails and front bumper. CLEARLIDZ front top but doesnt have the factory color matching top. Has the rest of the top matching to the green with color matched fenders Stock wheels and tires. No rear trail storage or rear plug ( can that be added?) still under 3/36 until 10/2025 and would be eligible for GRANGER warranty extension
In state purchase so no shipping ( fly and pick up drive home in 1 day easy ) easier to finance etc.. Price is 3K lower to start with plus no shipping.. figure 5K saved right off the bat

Seems easy doesnt it lol. Still would like your opinions. I think most of the missing stuff on the green can easily ( ??) be added later correct?

Thanks for all of your advice and opinions!

Flip a coin. Both have their detractions.

The 2021 costs more and is a year model older in depreciation.

The 2022 not having the front color matching removable Freedom Panels and the CLEARLIDZ would be a no go for me as it would be a pain getting that sourced, matched and reassembled.

Sounds like you are settling for making a decision on two less than ideal choices.

I would not want one that has been modified by someone else. When I choose for purchase, I look for every possible option installed, especially the factory only options.

You should be able to purchase the Mopar Extended Warranty, if buying from a Jeep Dealer, even if the 3/36 is expired. Buy the least expensive available, and then contact one of the discount dealers for an upgrade (I would contact them first and make sure they can do it).

The outlet in the bed can be added, but only if the factory inverter is already installed. The kit is available from @AllMoparParts.com for around $325. It does require a fairly extensive disassembly of the dash. Not all options can be added. Include a list of specifics so you can get advice on adding them.

I prefer diesel engines, but not with all the emissions crap that is currently required. My advice would be to expand your search for one that contains everything you want, regardless of the engine. I would also suggest a 2023 model.

Depends on what you are going to do to it. If you are planning on modifying it then the extended warranty is pointless or you will have to spend time fighting to get stuff covered. If you are leaving it stock then it would be fine. The front trail cam can be adding after the fact for around $1000 for all the parts if that is something that you have to have or you can go the tazer front trail cam for around $150 I think but it doesn't have the tire lines to show were you are going. I personally would go with the color you want as that is the hard part to change unless the price is huge factor between the two for you or the mileage is way different as you didn't list the mileage you just stated the one had expired warranty one didn't.

Several big decisions to make. So far I love my stingray diesel. I made the wheel and tire upgrade recently and that's and expensive upgrade that you have to consider. Color choice is important so pic your favorite and make it what you want it to be and you want be disappointed.
