Remember reading a reply from Hotshots to someone who was having DPF issues. Hotshots said that you didn't want to over dose. As it will cause down stream issues.
I took mine on a 3000 mile road trip and I stopped and did a partial fill up and added another 1oz shot of HSS and about an hour later I went into limp mode because the DPF was clogged and it couldn't regen. I also found that same thread when looking it up. I stopped adding HSS for a few fillups. The issue continued to happen on and off the entire trip and usually when we were in the middle in of nowhere. I have made few changes to the setup and contacted Banks to see what I should be monitoring as far as temps go on the iDASH and adjusted the Derringer and Pedal Monster settings. I haven't had any issues since that trip and I still use HSS with every fill up.

Rusty here’s a short video. 30 mph head winds up a grade. 45 mile drive. My soot lvl does go down on these drives though.

Here's mine. This is when I came home. Going down the highway does the same thing.

Also after doing some more research on the Opti-lube XPD it appears that product needs the higher dosage for the anti-gel properties.
I really don’t need that being in AZ and most wouldn’t in the warmer months so my plan is to buy their summer formula if I want a cetane boost and mix it with their Extreme Lube and this would provide the best lubricity with cetane boost for half the price of the XPD product.
And if anyone is interested I found the HFRR score of the Extreme Lube Blend shows the best results at 217

That's exactly what I do. I think I mix it 70% Summer, 30% XL. Keep it in an old Sta-bil bottle to dose easily.

It has run on biodiesel multiple times through the years though.

...and you're in Michigan. Surely you need an anti-gel during the winter?
