Probably a dumb question, but I have a 2021 Sport S with the standard 245 tires. I really want to upgrade to at least 285’s (33 inch), and am wondering where to look to make the changes needed (lift, etc). Would everyone suggest using a dealer, or are there better options? Thanks

There are better options….but it depends on where you live,

Do some google searching for Offroad SHOPS near you. If you find one, make sure they’re a ‘reputable shop’. Talk to them about your goals….. let them give you suggestions…Cross reference everything. Get quotes for the work.

Then…go to your dealership and ask them to ‘quote’ a similar job so you can compare pricing.

Look no further than your own garage with some basic tools and a few YouTube videos. For 33" all you need is a leveling kit. If you are a perfectionist you may also do an adjustable track bar to recenter the axle. At 1.5" you won't need geo brackets. The longer Mopar LCAs will improve caster and they are cheap. It is a rewarding experience to do it yourself. It is a simple process. A big jack and jack stands is all you need. You will need a 24mm wrench to undo the drivers side LCA bolt since the exhaust loop won't let you use anything else. Don't be afraid of some DIY.

You don't need a lift to put 33s on the JT. That ended up being my first mod because I hated the stock tires off-road.

As others said, you don’t need a lift for 33s. To find the best shop around you for other mods, join a local Jeep group on Facebook and ask for recommendations. You might make some new friends to go wheeling with as well

For mounting and balancing tires I only trust Americas tire/Discount tire (Different name same company)

Do it yourself and have one or two days of cussing, looking for tools, and the joy of getting up and down off the concrete floor a hundred times.

You do feel good about after your done while promising yourself at the same time you will never do it again.

As others have said, you can fit 33s without a lift. Otherwise agree with everyone else, this is a great time to start learning how to work on your Jeep yourself. It's pretty simple to work on a solid axle setup, a set of wrenches and a impact gun will do you wonders. Make sure you get a good torque wrench to properly torque everything down.
