I haven’t tried it on this jeep but put the jack under the axle so that you are jacking the tire off the ground. Instead of the suspension before the tire comes off the ground. For those of you running 35” and bigger tires, what jack are you carrying in the truck for switching out a flat? I know the factory jack won’t swing it.
I realize the benefit of a bottle jack is that they dont' move laterally as they go up. But can you get one with any significant extension beyond just a few inches?Bottle Jack is the way to roll my friend. I have a 5 ton with extensions & a 1 & 1/2" thick plywood for it as a base. It is 40 years old and has recovered many a Jeep going back to my high school days.
Assuming you're talking about the orange 4.5" mopar block, it works like a champ. I keep the threads on the scissor jack overly greased, goes up quite easy.I kept the factory jack and added a platform made specifically for the jack. Now if it works, I have no idea. Hopefully I won't ever have to use it.
Yes, that would be correct. That is good to know.Assuming you're talking about the orange 4.5" mopar block, it works like a champ. I keep the threads on the scissor jack overly greased, goes up quite easy.
