Yea, I got a notification that my post had been deleted then saw that, upset big brother, whoops 😅
Yea if you get too many of those you may get banned. It's probably a smart policy when you consider the idea of having businesses advertising on your website.

It would be cool if there was a subforum though where members could hash out disagreements without fear of getting banned.

I'm over pushrods. Cammers are more complex but make more power per cubic inch.

For each warning. You get one strike. Two strikes and you get a 2 week time out with your nose in the corner. Three strikes and you are gone forever. Don't ask how I know. Two strikes and you read the posts, but won't reply to them for fear of getting the third strike.

I think I remember that- at least a couple of years back (but my memory is really really bad)

I've learned a lot from you over the years - keep your nose clean, eh?

Yeah, I got caught with a few others at the time. Ace being one of them. :CWL:
I think twice on a lot of my posts anymore. There's a lot of BS, but it ain't worth it.

I wonder if Ace is reincarnated among us
Reincarnation is when you come back as a flower.

So it would be reincarceration in this case.

6.6 gas motor likes oil, GM says using 3 qts between changes is normal. We see it weekly.
Hell, GM still says adding a quart every 3k miles on a brand new engine won't trigger a warranty claim...

and yet none of our multiple 3.6 equipped Jeeps have ever needed oil added between changes. I've gone up to 7,100 miles and only been part of a quart low on oil.
Even the 2011 Silverado and 95 F250 I owned never needed oil between changes.

That's ridiculous. I had a coworker buy a used 2019 sliverado a couple years back. Last year the top end started making noise and the mechanic said it was likely a bad lifter. He was at 78k miles and let it go back to bank. It was a really nice truck too. I felt so bad for him.

I was a "never electric" person for a long time - old school, love the smell and sounds of massive V8s making crazy HP flying down the track at 180 mph. I'll always love my gassers - my classics, and the fun I have with them, the sound and feel, the ease of modifications, swapping or building engines at the drop of a hat - however....... if you tried to take away my wife's 4xe, if she didn't make cat food out of you, I might.
If the 4xe JT was out right now with that newest/latest ZF transmission with the bigger, more efficient electric drive motor - I have a feeling that might be coming to my garage soon. Our JLU 4xe is a perfect fit for our style, type of driving (my wife especially, well, it is HERS as she'll remind anyone it's HER Jeep, not mine).
And I'm an old fart - 68, grew up building fast cars, fast gas-guzzling engines, things that make noise and go fast. Still - as my son says about me - I am a pragmatist at times.
No one is forcing anyone to buy a FULL EV. Not even in California, last I heard.
But I also see the future life of my grandson in Florida - and his family, and all of the possibilities he has in front of him, my grandson and granddaughter in China........
Yup - a few years ago - I was a "never ever" person - well, the crazy performance of certain electrics that have been around for many years made me take a look, too - holy cow, instant GO as quick as you hit that pedal - and that's FACTORY.
As far as full electric...Fix the issue of only being able to drive 300 miles or so on a charge and not take 20-30 minutes to charge it and it would peak my interest more as a viable option. Then cut the BS of we're saving the planet by driving these things out of the equation and I think a lot more consumers would buy in.

As far as hybrids, I would consider. My buddy's hybrid F150 works a a generator for his travel trailer for crying out loud, that is awesome!

There's also the issue of weight.
