BOH Badge Installation and Tips

After researching and finding some pointers online, I managed to use painters tape, double sided tape, and the solid edge of a level. While testing the placement of 3 across, I found that the first badge would start roughly centered over the letter J. To place each one, I would set the edge against my level, and gently move it in to stick it into position.

My OCD is pretty strong on some things, so I completely understand the desire for symmetry on this one!

I chose to right justify on the edge of the door right below the trail rated badge.

Yep, I’ve seen some folks place badges here 3-wide, and work their way up. Because the body starts bending, as you get closer to the trail rated badge, you can only get 2-wide.

I’m hoping that any more will take a lot less effort. It would bug me a lot, if they were wonky on here.

Yeah, I've got one that is just a little off and I see it every time I walk by. Bugs me but that adhesive is crazy strong!

Oh - I’m glad to hear that the adhesive is super strong; my understanding is that there were some changes to the BOH rules, and folks can no longer earn that Cougar Crossing badge since some time in Jan ‘26.

First time on 35's. Second time on 37's and 4" lift.

I hang mine from the mirror on a beaded chain. I only have one, so far, but plan on getting one of the new trails this year.

DUde, the last one I put on, it was in the 30s when I stuck it on there. Its solid too

I admire your sense of detail. I will say, before you get too far along, that you can’t just push them against a level, because all four edges have slight convex curves. I too use blue tape and a straight edge, but you still need to make sure you’re only lining up the center of the edge, or you might end up with a curve. Not all of mine are perfect, but I try to get them very close.
