I wouldn’t bother getting rubicon differentials. Yours are plenty strong. Just get lockers if you need them.
yeah, thinking to add ARB air lockers, but the big BUT is the cost of install in Germany.

the material costs around 1200 - 1500 euro, ok, but the install at minimum the same.

So maybe I get all the tools for measuring backlash etc etc and then "try" my self.

as otherwise I can get axles from US for same cost. I see quite some ditching it cheap when switching to 60's etc.

What does shipping cost though? I’d be surprised if it wasn’t outrageous.

well, if its put on pallets and sea freight, its not too bad.

around 1500 euro I guess.

are you into the locker topic?
does Overland Diesel with wide axles have 32 or 35 splines? As for M220 rear axle I only find ARB diffs for 35 splines in Germany, but from my knowledge I have wide axles M200+M220, and 32 splines.

it should be the RD245 for front and rear, as least according to revolution

It is!
I once had a motorcycle shipped from Frankfurt to Baltimore. If I hadn't gotten a heck of a deal on the bike in Germany, it would have been far better to just buy in the states.

Hah, I like the "JT" your local Kfz-Zulassungsstelle allowed on the registration. We had friends (Luftwaffe family) that moved back to Weilheim i.OB from Texas, and all their cars had "WM-TX ###" plates :)

the car has a height of 2.35m now.

we made the carport higher, its around 2.44m now, and we have some idea to gain 1-2 cm more easily.

That would allow air up while parked now and in case we want to step up, 37's.

that was hell of work and I used the opportunity to renew the roof with some huge EPDM foil instead of this tarmac based roof material.

next thing on the Gladiator will be to install the AEV 3 inch springs in front and then measure front drive shaft to have a better one with improved joints.

and then it should be mechanically done, mostly at least.

thanks a lot! Appreciate it.
It’s such a pity, in Germany you have to drive to France or Eastern Europe to do off-roading, so always few hours gone.
Then I see YT of any guy repairing his clapped out Tacoma and drive to a recreation zone in 40 minutes and can do nice camp trip, tarmac less….

a propos thousands:
Short wish list:

37s with high fenders
Locking diffs from ARB
AEV Bilstein shocks
Some Metalcloak goodies
And there the 10.000 euros (would) go

So guys

we did few trips to France, last long weekend in frech ALPS
It was such great!! See pictures below.

the AEV high capacity springs are installed all around meanwhile, and I think these falcon shocks which I got with the 2.5 inch lift are too short now.
Rear is 3.5 inch higher and front around 3 inch compared too stock.
When I hit bumps in rear the car wiggles around, as I think the short dampers hold up axle movement….

Mai gotta order AEV Bilstein shocks, but here in Europe price is at minimum 1000 euros more expensive that in US….

Man if I were gonna be here longer, I’d offer to help you out with that but we leave back to the states 3 weeks 😔

Trip looks beautiful indeed. Though I’m quite partial to Bavaria myself haha

Last year we went all the way down to Marseille, FR for the Summer Olympics and Jesus was that a long damn drive. And it was so hot. I never thought of the south of France being very Italian/Mediterranean… guess that was my American naïveté lol we went in our Tuscadero (pink) JLU Willys and had fun. No overlanding, but freedom panels out, windows down daily kind of driving.
