The JT is like most have said not a truck for truck things. the 3.6 motor will disappoint you towing 4-5000#. While rated for that, the motor is not a great platform for towing. I have a Diesel, great power but at a cost. Cooling. Oil temps get right hot towing on any kind of good grade. I can tow my Compact tractor on a 2 axle car trailer, But that is just locally. One of my current vehicles is a 2017 F-150 regular cab. I am thinking about trading it in for a crew cab pickup with lower mileage, but I am in the early stages of a new business and don’t want to spend the extra money right now to get another F—150. There is a dealer near me with a 2023 Rubicon that has 9k miles on it. If I traded in my F-150, I would owe about 8 grand. Financially it makes sense. I want to hear opinions on what it’s like to go from a full size pickup to a Gladiator. I take the ATVs and SXS to different trails, I pull a Ranger Bass Boat, and I occasionally use my truck to trailer other things. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
Inside the F150/JT is like a living room compared to a closet. The 150 wins hands down for space and comfort.
Fuel mileage you will likely get better mileage with the F150 ( Eco Boost?) than the naturally aspirated Pentastar motor.
Yes you can put stuff in the back stock that weight limit is around 500-600# 4 rail road ties in mine has it close to the bump stops with Clayton HD rear springs.
