At minimum you need an adaptor to couple it to the stock transfer case. Other option is upgrade the transfer case while you're at it.

No unless it's a Stellantis offering. They all have different bolt patterns and so on. Starter locations vary as well.

I thought he was asking about ENGINE - in that case, nothing will mate up to the transmission other than a Stellantis offering. Everything has a different bolt pattern, starter location among other factors.

And then you have to relocate so many things under the hood. Even those V8 conversions for the JT require relocating a lot of engine bay items.
There's just no bolt-in solution. Actually that's been true of almost any car or truck over the years.

I may have mentioned this before but a friend of mine did a 5.7 swap along with Transmission and He was many months doing the conversion. It was a big job.

No, neither the engine to transmission, nor Hemi transmission to Jeep transfer case.

Then there's the issue of engine management and body control.

If you're trying to do this as a DIY, on a budget of under like 5k, only way is going to be yeet the entire drivetrain, steering column, and dash.

I would say the best option would be to find a Durango RT, with at least AWD, then swap in the entire engine/trans/transf bundle, then have very strong driveshafts made, using at least strong enough axles to deal with the extra power. Or better yet find a 392 Wrangler that’s got body totaling damage with an intact drivetrain.

2026 will offer 5.7 hemi you might just trade it in
Wow, even with proof from inside that it's just not happening, you keep pasting it into posts.

You're trusting the wrong people.

Any dealer can order today, no idea when the website will be updated. There is one engine option.

Job 1 is Tuesday, I'll be there all day and be sure to keep my eye's peeled for any piles of Hemi's and two stroke diesels.

order banks ARE open. You can call your dealer. Jeep dot com is more often late and wrong, than correct.

So funny, a truck driver and I were talking about 2 stroke diesels, carbon build-up and such - then you post that.

If they don't change the engine choices on the JT it will die.
BTW,, the price difference between the WranglerX and the 392 is about $40K. As much as I want a V8 Gladiator I just don't know if I am ready to write a check for $105K + tax and lic. So very close to $120K. My nicely modded '22 is worth about $40K so I would have to add $80K to that plus any new mods. UGH!!!!
