I don’t know why you guys are thinking that a 5.7 option (if it does come to pass) will be insanely expensive….

Here is what the upcharge is going from the 3.6 to a 5.7 on a 2026 1500 RIGHT NOW!
I know for a fact it will not come to pass.

So I have to live in reality land where I truly want a V8, truly am willing to do the work, may be truly willing to spend the money, and truly understand that Youtube isn't news, and this pie in the sky crap isn't happening.

If you want a V8 in this generation Gladiator, you're putting it in yourself.

At that price it’s not worth trying to do your own conversion…and is also a no brainer for many people.

Most other manufacturers are offering more than one engine choice in their midsize pick ups…why not Jeep?
COOLING and towing. It's one reason the 3.6 isn't tuned in the JT like it is in other FCA vehicles, including Ram and Grand Cherokee.
With more HP and more fuel burned comes more BTUs of heat out of the engine - where's it going to go?
They detuned the 3.6 and struggled to cool it just to get the ratings they got.

The Wrangler - doesn't matter - you don't tow 7,000 pounds with a Wrangler.

They are?
Toyota - 2.4L 4cyl or 2.4L 4cyl with hybrid add-on
Nissan - 3.8L 6cyl
Chevrolet/GMC - 2.7L 4cyl
Ford - 2.3L 4cyl / 2.7L 6cyl / 3.0L 6cyl

Considering that Toyota and Ford produce the majority of mid size trucks here in the US I’d say yeah.

Ford is the only one with multiple engines. Toyota is the same engine with an electric motor add-on. Everyone else offers one engine.

So no, "most manufacturers" do not offer multiple engine choices in the USA. Only 2 offer different choices or configurations. 4 manufacturers offer a singular requirement.

Here you go, she said it, it must be true..
Don't question them on it or ask any details. They get really nasty.
Call me old fashioned, fine, but when you use your wife for clicks, turns me off.
There's an AMC guy who used to post photos of his car ... Wife barely dressed laying over the fenders, the guys called him on it and he got nasty. What are you promoting? The car....or something else?
Every photo!

I called FCA and they agreed not to offer a V8 until they built my Turbo Slant Six.
Sorry.

These Rams are 60k lol.

The engine isn't why they weren't selling.
To be fair, not much is selling in my area right now. Also, I believe he was referring to the 100k Jeeps not selling. ;)
