Now - if I went MC - since they are plated, I could cut them off, and replate them (kidding, sort of, yeah, I think I am)
I legit considered cutting them, rethreading the ends, and using them.

But I talked myself into Apex.

Some folks from Virginia like scrapple - doesn't make it good - just means they don't know better 😆
I spent the first 4 years of my life in Maryland and am a big fan of scrapple. I don't get it much lately though.

Bwahahahaha flat true that stuff is soooo 😝 gross.
Back in 2019 me and four other Jeeps from southeastern Louisiana embarked on a Jeep badge trip. It was the week leading up to Thanksgiving. We hit Uwharrie and then went up to Virginia to catch whatever that trail was between Luray and Front Royal. It was a cold, wet, hard trip - but tough circumstances make great memories.

The morning we left we stopped at 'Moms Country Kitchen' in Front Royal. We saw scrapple on the menu and asked the super nice waitress what that was. She tried to describe it and said it was a local favorite. We said fine - bring one order.

We all tried it.

We hid the remains.

It was certified awful.

The poor people food in Louisiana is way better.

😆 😆

I'm going to assume that not all scrapple is created equal, and that this particular serving was lacking in equality 😆

It needs lots of ketchup and may be an acquired taste.

I know you and cousin Ralph would get along. He's a fun character anyway.

I've had some of the Cajun food, as well as other stuff brought in by a fellow employee who used to live down there.

Another story.

It wasn't until my mid-late 20s that I found beer to be tolerable. A friend of mine kept inviting me to this little bar near his apartment. The bar only had one beer on tap - Miller Lite. They only served it in frozen glass goblets like you'd see at a ren faire. The beer was so cold, it would start to slush up. He would always insist on paying the tab, so several times I drank practically frozen Miller Lite because it was free.

Totally a fan of many different beers now.

So - I guess someone just needs to buy me scrapple, a lot, in a place with a limited menu - and then maybe :CWL:

😂😂😂
I'd rather have a WV fried bologna sandwhich. Thats what we poor folk ate along with government peanutbutter and homemade blackberry & raspberry jam hand picked in buckets formerly holding the washing powders 😂😂😂

I second third and fourth the Apex Autolynx. Solid well built and super easy to use.

Yeah, but not spending 500 for something used maybe once or twice a year, tops, if that, - $300-$350 difference could buy something more necessary and used more often.

Judging by dozens of others with the other style - they work just fine and aren't that hard to take off and put back on.

Biggest issue is that mine is stock height - everything out there where you don't have to cut or trim is for 2.5-4.5" lifts with long links

The Apex Autolynx are definitely easier to use and the manuals can sometimes be hard to get the pin back in but for only using several times a year the savings for the manuals might be worth it. I went with the Apex because I use them a lot.

One question on the Apex that bugs me - with no lift, the links are short. The Apex links are straight. the stock, and all replacements, are offset. That means the apex would run at quite an angle with no lift.

Have you checked on their website for recommendations on your specific year?

Apex shows the same thing fitting JK JL and JT.
There's no offset like the stock links or any other replacements.
One company says there's a hardware change in 2024+

Well, if you're looking to save the money it may not matter that much. I have no idea what hardware may have been changed.
