Same here. I bet most folks have never noticed the tiny(or big) foot prints on the dust covered plastic,
I spray mine once a week in the winter, and the garrage door goes down before dark,
YES. I have a 2021 so have the engine cover. Saw those mouse prints on it quickly and starting fighting back! I also have a strobe/ultrasonic thingy.... not sure if it helps but doing the belt and suspenders approach.

Picked it up Friday, 4 weeks to the day I dropped it off. I literally couldn't be happier with this AMW kit. And being able to run 87 octane with it, to me, makes it perfect.

Did they do a cylinder deactivation delete kit on it?

I got a quote years ago from a company whose name i can't remember (definitely not AMW) who said they could do it using the OEM transmission with a new clutch. They quoted the same price they advertised for a 392w/HP75 and for reasons they couldn't explain said my reverse camera AND reverse lights would no longer come on automatically (assuming something to do with the gear position sensor but they didn't clarify) and I'd need to wire reverse lights to an aux switch and manually select the reverse view every time.

In all fairness they already lost me at the high 30s price point for a cheaper engine without a new trans needed, so hearing there are some daily annoyances above and beyond was just shit icing on an overpriced cake at that point.
Yeah…that doesn’t pass the smell test. My camera and reverse lights work fine and I have the 8hp75 from the factory.

This package is what I was looking at if in the future I decide to keep trucking with the Jeep and want to replace the tired 3.6.

It has been mentioned earlier in the thread about not being able to replace parts off the shelf from your local parts store. Coddiwomple Overland actually had a radiator leak on his AMW build when he was out west on one of his most recent trips. I don’t remember the specifics, but he contacted AMW and they directed him to a local shop who was able to replace the radiator. Now I forget if the radiator was available locally, or if they had to wait for delivery from AMW.

I was at 14.5 mpg on the 3.6L and so far I'm averaging 17 mpg on 5.7L. I definitely don't get crazy with it, I was more after the torq. But it will get crazy.
Ken, 17 mpg already on a new motor is good news, should get better after a few thousand miles perhaps. Is that a combined mileage or highway?….Jack

I'm getting about 16 combined now. That initial report was the interstate drive home I'm guessing.

Question from New JT owner. Do you notice better trans shift points or does it rev/shift like the original 3.6?

I have a call into them and that would be the deal maker/breaker.

I envy your swap.

There'd have to be a different trans tune, pretty sure the redline of the 3.6L is higher than the 5.7L. Even the 2.0t in the JL shifted significantly different from the 3.6L bone stock. The 3 6L needs to rev as it doesn't make peak horsepower until 6200rpm.

Yeah it's definitely different. I'm currently a little over geared and trying to decide weather I want to live with it or drop down a gear size. Apparently 4.56 is the sweet spot for the 5.7L. If I do re-gear (again) I'll report back. I'm hitting 8th gear at 45 mph and it holds 8th gear on the interstate like crazy. It has to be a steep hill and a heavy right foot to get it to drop to 7th.

If y'all do go with this conversion, the exhaust is 3.5," not 3." It sounds awesome but is definitely over the top in my opinion. I ordered a Borla universal resonator (told and ordered wrong 3" size but they made it work) and now it is absolutely perfect. Still sounds bad ass, especially when getting on it, took out the drone and doesn't sound like an explosion when I start it in the morning. $125 on Amazon and well worth it.

Then they are violating federal laws which say "shall not cause ....... to not function..............."

small price to pay for a REAL motor. Besides AMW will most likely get it sorted out for you in the near term.

So.. I am currently saving for a no thrills 5.7 swap. Keeping my tranny and just a simple swap.
Should I expect any hiccups in the process..?
