In all seriousness I can't say one way or another how many people it would matter to.

I know the base tow capacity of 4500 pounds would not have been enough for me personally.

Ironically, it's irrelevant to me that the roof or doors come off 😄

But, some folks have enough disposable income to buy a Gladiator as a toy and/or do not haul anything more than a gallon of milk - neither category I fit in.

At the end of the day, Jeep probably would not try to market a Hemi Gladiator that would likely fall a ton or more short on towing capacity compared to other midsize trucks. The fact that most people don't do anything but haul their own ego around in 3/4 ton trucks doesn't stop them from celebrating the fact that they could drag the Space Shuttle to the top of Pikes Peak with it if they were called upon 😆 The towing battle drags on in the midsize world, even if unecessary.
Yea, I am not really even a fan of the fact the Gladiators doors and roof are removable, just makes the cabins noisy.

I never had the Roof or doors off any of the Jeeps, or the Bronco that I have owned.

I would honestly be more interested in a 392 TRX style Dakota then a 392 Gladiator, but if there were a Gladiator out this year, I would be seriously looking at buying one. I am thinking either way we would see a 392 Hemi go into a Gladiator long before we ever see one in a Dakota. Especially with there not even being a new Dakota on the market with any engine.

So, I am pretty much sold on the fact that I would have to get me 392 Gladiator if they every do get around to making one.

I love the 392 Hemi in my Challenger. It just sounds so good.
I would really love to have that motor in a mid-size pickup.

I have a 25 ft TT that weighs 6K empty. I would not want to tow it with my JT ever. I tow it with my Ram diesel 2500. Wind and traffic will not be fun with the JT.
Exactly!

I go back and forth on it. A Hemi Gladiator would probably be priced out of my comfort zone. If it wasn't, I'd be tempted to change all of my 'ideas' and get one. I want to make rowdy noises in a 'little' truck.

Love that Challenger!

I've been getting the itch to get headers for my SS Camaro. It has a Borla cat-back on it but still too quiet. LS engines in general though just aren't loud the way Hemi's and Coyotes are though.

6,000lb billboard behind a Gladiator? I wouldn't be excited about it either.

My subcompact tractor on a flat deck trailer - about 5,600 pounds - I'd pull that. Way less drag on the truck. I don't tow that heavy often at all (it will probably be a couple times a year), but when I do I want the truck to be able to do it.

Let me be clear - if my pockets were deep enough I'd probably do the American thing and buy an L5P Duramax and daily drive it to tow my baby tractor twice a year at 80MPH like it isn't there because I just like big trucks.

But I got other bills to pay and I like my widdle truck 😆
Agreed, If you want to tow buy a duramax. JT's are for fun

Tow rating on smaller tuck like this would really make very little sales difference.
I really do not see tow ratings on trucks like this really mattering to a lot of people.
There is a lot of trucks sold in this country that never tow anything.
My Gladiator doesn't even have a hitch. 😆

My other truck for towing has a trailer behind it maybe 3-4x per year.

A 392 in the Gladiator will not make it tow better, just faster up the hills and stop more for gas. A 6,000 pound trailer is just going to wag the dog more than I would like.

Price the V8 JT like the 2026 Durango although the 5.7 is detuned compared to the RAM 1500.

Damn, my Javelin's 360 has better HP and torque than that! (although the MPG is admittedly worse)
I have more HP and a fraction of the weight at about 3200 pounds.

Something that I've only had 5 of over the years. A rare bird.
Father to the unibody Jeep.
I actually had a red Gremlin I bought from my high school Spanish teacher and it was fun to drive at the time. I had this odd idea about having a small warehouse and store some Gremlins and Pacers and I would make a killing some day.

Anyway, that idea ended soon.

The GX550 has 350HP and it's built well. Overtrail is about 80K. Would be my choice over the Durango . There is no reason the Hemi JT should be over 75K.
