I have a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. Bought it in 2023 and it had aftermarket LED taillights. One taillight was defective with some LED’s “burnt out”. The seller replaced both. They had a 1 year warranty. Now, two years later one of the two is completely dead.

l like the LED lights, BUT am wondering If there are aftermarket LED taillights for my Jeep that have a better warranty than 6-12 months or will l have to go back to halogen bulb/ original taillights?

Jeep makes a nice set. Supposedly Oracle has made their tail lights last longer.

If you're fine with the OEM form factor, just buy takeoff OEMs. There are none of better quality. Jeep puts some cheap parts on our trucks, but the illumination bits aren't one of them. They still make the best headlights bar none imo.

I heard this a while ago too. Anecdotal reports since suggest they changed almost nothing and the new ones still have issues. But i'm just 3rd hand knowledge here so believe what you will.

To answer OP: i bought cheap chinesium tailights like these:
Amazon.com: LED Sequential Tail Lights for Jeep Gladiator
You can find them under countless brand names which is never a good sign, but mine have lasted 3 years with no issues and they are cheap enough to replace if i do have issues.

Thanks. The ones that replaced the originals and went bad and the ones currently are Oracle. I may look into the current Jeep replacements.

They’re big marketers, but quality is not, nor likely will be their strong suit. Just junk.

I've always wondered why aftermarket doesn't just crack open an OEM, figure out what Chinese company makes the LED and driver, and just use those.

Probably too expensive to sell cheap as dirt with a huge profit margin.

Along with the above Rugged Ridge, another option:
https://combat-offroad.com/products/tail-gunner-tail-lights-jeep-jt

Either of these take off the shelf truck lights, easily replaced for cheap if there are problems. DOT certified, too.

Not sure how effective the reverse is for either of these, though.

Edit: Put "easily replaced" in quotes, since it will require some electrical work, but at least the lights are easy to find and cheap.

And this is why I don't really like vehicle-specific LED lighting. Replacement availability and costs. And they seldom last the life of the vehicle. At least with an old bulb you can usually swap them out for cheap from any parts store.

Another edit: Recently had to replace the third brake light. $100. And some disassembly. Great fun.

No experience with their taillights but i did buy the oculus bi led headlights. Wish I'd have just spent the money and went with oem. They randomly have a bright flash like they get a power surge and they have a weird cutoff. High beams are a joke. The diode dynamics fog lights I bought on the other hand, are the cat's ass! 💪

I got these exact ones although with the clear lens. I only have a little over a year on them but no issues.

Sorry to hear you’ve had some trouble with your Oculus setup — that’s definitely not how they should be performing. The Oculus Bi-LEDs are usually one of our top-rated headlight systems, so it could be something as simple as a re-aim or wiring issue causing that flash or low beam cutoff.
We’d be happy to take a look and get it sorted out for you. You can either DM us directly or fill out our quick tech support form here: https://www.oraclelights.com/pages/tech-support-form

Appreciate the feedback from everyone here — we always want to make sure everyone’s getting the best performance possible from their setup!

First hand experience with the Oracle taillights… they have only lasted for 1 year for me. They have replaced them twice in the 3 years that I've had them and every time the passenger light fails????? Not sure what the difference between the driver and passenger is, but it's always been the passenger light giving up on me. I'm going to move on and either find a cheap replacement, or go back to the OEM Taillights. And just can't justify spending $500 on a set of taillights that will only last a year, disappointing

Holy shit, over $500 for some simple housings and $20 trailer lights?! They need to lay off the pipe.

Someone needs to release the CAD file for a print that will do this job, or sell it for $100 without the lights. It's a standard size light anyway.
