First oil change coming on my new to me Gladiator @50k miles. What brand do you swear by? Im eyeing Amsoil SS 0w 20. I’m under extended powertrain warranty to 2028 So I don’t want to mess around. I want to see real world recs backed by the mileage proof.
yes I have been diagnosed With Oil Derangement Syndrome

Why not go with their recommendation? Here up north, we use 5w30 from the dealership and have over 108k.

Penzoil Platinum full synthetic 0W20. I’ve used The same brand for years and never had any oil related issues. Anything over 125k miles gets the high milage stuff. Probably doesn’t make a lick of difference but it makes me feel like I’m being proactive on making my vehicles last as long as possible before I have to move on or replace the engine.
Ford Transit 178k
GMC Suburban 223k -transmission failure saving to replace the whole drivetrain. (Because I love driving it. Lazy Boy on 4 wheels.)
Chrysler Pacifica- got it at 199k with a slight tick, lasted another 36k before I decided to trade it in before it got any worse
Gladiator- 62k and no issues so far.

+1 for penzoil platinum. That’s the real world data I like to hear. 200k from a pacifica is impressive.

+2 For Amsoil, if I can squeeze 150k I’ll be one happy customer. How does it run? That Ams SS has 300 ppm of Moly to help with engine friction from what I’ve been researching on oil forums.

Mine runs like a scalded dog always has . Quiet too. Of course I have kept up maintenance items also on it.

Every fluid changed in the first year to Amsoil on my 2021 Gladiator Mojave. Differentials, transfer case, etc. Running perfect, no issues. Well except for that ridiculously dumb aux battery. Finally fixed that with the Genesis dual battery replacement. PI gas additive every 4K miles and upper cylinder lubricant corrosion inhibitor at every fill up.
