You mean like the Tacoma, designed in the US and built in Mexico?

Surely you don't mean a Tundra. That new turbo motor they use is a real pile.

Keep in mind, most Japanese vehicles for the American market are built here in the US, some with a heavy North American parts stream, and many with a US design team...

Either way, being unhappy is no fun, and a forum can't diagnose the problem via the internet, so hopefully you find a vehicle that makes you happy :)

4 dealerships so far.
Tear into yourself . It it isnt ticking and tapping then pull the plenum like I did replace coil packs , plugs and injectors. It's an all day job for a non professional such as me think it was about 6 or 7hrs. From Tear down to hitting the start button . But it was sooo worth it .

Or, go ahead and pull the trigger on your states' lemon law. You've undoubtedly gotten enough documented trips to dealerships to do so.

Full refund and then get yourself a truck you feel that you can trust.

Your frustration is understandable, and each person on here truly wants to help you.
Do you have a local Jeep community that you could reach out to? Or other local people that you trust?

Keep reaching out. Help will appear. It probably wont be in the time frame you desire, but it will be there.

I tried not to join a forum to get more input.
Isn't that the point? Or why join then? The whole idea is to get help.

This quickly proved to me that this is mystery with no clear answers.
Proved nothing other than it's like any vehicle...as it gets older, you're going to have to do extended maintenance.

Jeep, two strikes and you're out. Back to a Japanese vehicle.
My wife's IS350 developed an absolute horrid stuttering around 60-65k miles. Confirmed misfire codes. Replaced the spark plugs...purrs like a kitten. Even Japanese vehicles need love.

My mother has a Chevy Equinox - sounded like it had a light bottom end knock. Turned out it just needed new spark plugs (old ones were BAD).

🤣

Sometimes the right solution is the easiest one.

If anyone can explain exactly what the cause of these misfires are I'd gladly listen.
Tallahassee, Live Oak, Vero Beach, and Jacksonville dealerships have all told me it's basically a 'Jeep' thing without any definitive cause. Live with it, and hope you don't have a catastrophic failure unless you have the extended warranty.
I tried not to join a forum to get more input. But I am at my limit and no longer trust the vehicle.
Thank you for your responses. This quickly proved to me that this is mystery with no clear answers.

Okay this also sounds like a faulty crank sensor . It is literally a 5 minute job . Stop at parts house pick ine up O'Reillys carry them its 1-8 or 10mm bolt and a wiring plug . Take plug off undo the bolt wiggle the crank sensor till it pops out , put some lube on the new oring on new sensor pop it back in and tighten slightly more than hand tight very little like 8nm. ✔ done. Did that also helped a bunch.

Fine, I will try and be helpful.

Read this and see if it sounds like your misfire:

https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...restart-misfires-mc-10226014-9999-pdf.424062/

If it does, take that to a dealer and tell them to review your truck.

Mine has this exact problem, since new. Once I knew what to look for, it's extremely predictable though conditions are only right at certain times of the year. I will get it looked at eventually (before engine / trans warranty runs out), but I've drove 36,000 miles like that, lol.

I haven't looked in depth on JScan and data logging, and how to look at all the data - but injector data and oxygen sensor data would also want to be considered, and see if there is any correlation between the injectors, the oxygen sensor data, and the misfires on a particular bank.

Well - that's what a good dealer tech should be doing, anyway.

But as they said, no light, no work usually.
No MIL. Not the same.

It's worth it for me to do this one last thing. After two and a half weeks left at the dealership they couldn't figure out a cause. Again, no MIL. Different symptoms.
I love my Jeep and smile everytime I get in it. I don't trust it. A decade plus engine design. The 'World' engine has failed me twice. This isn't magic to diagnose a misfire.

The misfires mine had were very similar to yours and mine started within a month of getting it back in March of 2022. The check engine light would come on when they happened but it would go off after a few ignition cycles. After months of problems including limp mode and the engine completely shutting down several times, on the fifth visit with my service department they finally did a cam / crank relearn after one of the members here, shadowspapa I think, found a tsb detailing the issue and how to fix it. Mine has been trouble free since December of 2022. Your issue may be different but the relearn fixed mine. Using Jscan before the fix, I'd have well over 1000 misfires across all cylinders after a 30 mile drive. Afterwards it is down around 30 for the same drive but I've never again felt one, gone into limp mode, thrown a code, or shut down.

The coils are notorious for causing this. Get all 6 replaced and see how it goes. My misfires were due to coils. No more problems after. Somewhere around 45k if I recall.

This is after less than 15 minutes of driving. The dealership did the the trans relearn twice, allegedly.

Transmission relearn isn't the issue ,
You need a cam and crank position relearn.

Where is the sensor? I might swap mine just for fun.
