A buddy of mine has three EcoDiesels in his fleet and one Pentastar. He just told me that his 2011/2012 Pentastar has over 800,000 miles. He sent me the odometer reading when they maxed out the odometer at 621,369 miles (1,000,000 kilometers).

2012 Chrysler Pentastar - 800,000+ miles
2015 Ram EcoDiesel - 410,000 miles (truck was totaled)
2015 Ram EcoDiesel - 600,000 miles
2018 Ram EcoDiesel - 423,000 miles

They just turned 600,000 miles on the 2015 EcoDiesel. I have a picture of that odometer reading as well.

Let me guess the guy ran Napa oil in it with a cheap frame filter only changed the oil every 10,000 miles and was on the original air filter 😂😂😂
All I ever do to hit 3 and 400 thousand miles again and again.

Everyone doesn’t say that. The 3.6l earned its reputation of being a long lasting reliable engine. There are lots in fleets that aren’t even very well taken care of with 200k+ miles.
Yup! My company has had thousands from 2011 on. Yes the new style as well, 21 up Pacifica's. They have oil changes at 10k and only a few have failed. So if my maintained Jeep goes I " have a guy " to repair it lol

Just got the consumers report in the mail today, jeep is the worst vehicle over all again. My first jeep was a new cj7 in 1985, my Gladiator is my 6th jeep. Only problem I ever had was the gas cap issue on my 07 rubi jk. The only problem I see for the most part is a lose nut behind the wheel.
Do not trust consumer reports for automobile reviews. They are not the best car people and usually pick Toyota or Honda as the best cars. (boring)

Fixed it for you. IMO, they are notoriously biased against domestic manufacturers.

But the 3.6L is one of Chryslers worst motors to date. The 3.8L was far worse but the 3.6l isn't much better.
Not true. The 3.6 has, over the its lifetime, has one of the lowest warranty claim costs of any engine in the industry. That is why they can´t replace it, even though they have tried. It just makes too much economic sense to keep it.

So I know people might get depressed reading the internet with posts of failing rocker arms/lifters or oil cooler leaks (minor repair, really) but keep in mind there are over 14 million Pentastars that have been buit. That means that even a tiny percentage of failures means every mechanic has seen it multiple times. So that´s where it gets the rep. But look at the industry data and you will see it is among the best mass produced engines ever made.

I have had 3 of them. 2018 JL, 111,000 miles, 2021 Gladiator, 70,000 miles, and 2021 JL (ex wife´s, kids share it. it gets neglected and abused and short-tripped). No engine issues with any of them.

Where can someone find warranty claim info?

Some engines are not picky about oil and other engines are very picky. We see this with the Gen 2 EcoDiesel vs Gen 3 EcoDiesel. As someone recently said, "the Gen2 EcoDiesel will almost run on bath water. It’s not picky at all." The difference between a cheap oil and a boutique oil on the Gen 3 engine is 30% reduction in wear metals and double the interval.

My 3.6 definitely likes the pampered version.

It would so fine on the same stuff millions of us run. For some oils it's the name that brings the price, not being superior. I found Lake's video on those oils to be something all of the armchair internet oil experts should really watch.
