Wife is short. Has a bad knee. I have a Jeep gladiator with stock floor boards.
What can I find with a 4” to 6” step down for her?
Any ideas will be welcome
Thanks in advance

Are you asking about a step to get in/out of the Jeep or for inside the truck while she is sitting in the seat?

If you are talking about the running boards, it is doubtful you'll find any solid ones that extend that far down. They would get ripped off or damaged too easily. But you might try looking at electrically retractable steps. Thing is, though, if is it 6" from ground to step, it will likely be more than 6" from the step to inside the Jeep.

In my experience, by far the best option for folks that have troubles with getting into vehicles with higher step in height is to use a foldable step stool. Just tie a lanyard to the step and the person using it is able to easily pull it up into the vehicle after getting in. Added bonus is they cost less than a tenth what you'd have to pay for most any bolt on alternative.

How do one pick that up and put it away once inside the truck?

My floor threshold on my Rubicon is 24", which was a challenge for both my wife and I. I installed the Rough Country retractable rails and it works great. They replace our rock rails which I will never need.

My wife is vertically challenged, so getting in and out of my 2025 Gladiator Mojave X was tough for her. I installed a set of Go Rhino Dominator D1 step sides...problem solved. Purchased from realtruck.com.

AMP Research. I have a 2024 Gladiator Mohave, which is the highest Jeep one can buy. The AMP steps saved me. Yes, I too am a seasoned citizen. Yes, they do cost more than other "solutions". But they work.
