Aux battery died now head unit is dead and remote start.

That's the same video I copied. And I reached out to Wolf overland myself and he asked if I was getting power to my the harness to the head unit which I am. But yes checked z fuse yesterday and it's good. I think there's a related issue in that my dash isn't fully sleeping. It may be why my head unit isn't waking up. But again I'm at a loss. Had a long drive to see family and everything is normal now except dash staying awake and head unit not powering on. The remote start seemed to fix itself when I unmarried the tazer.

You said in an earlier post that you pulled fuse 42 and taped up the negative cable of the aux battery. You're not to pull fuse 42, and the negative cable from the aux battery battery is supposed to go to the negative post of the main battery. Like the positive cable of the aux battery going to the positive post of the main battery.

You have something else going. Which is above my pay grade.

Does the dash still keep waking up even if you lock the doors with the fob and remove it from the area near the truck?

You said in an earlier post that you pulled fuse 42 and taped up the negative cable of the aux battery. You're not to pull fuse 42, and the negative cable from the aux battery battery is supposed to go to the negative post of the main battery. Like the positive cable of the aux battery going to the positive post of the main battery.

You have something else going. Which is above my pay grade.

That is what I initially did. Because I have the tazer. But negative cable being re attached is just a loop. I can re loop it but it won't and hasn't changed anything. But I had to pull fuse 42 when I unmarried the tazer.

Yeah I have the doors locked currently. And key fob over 100ft away. I'll take a picture of the dash lights that are staying on.

Hmmmm….module malfunction …or, I’m now thinking the dash is staying awake due to a settings option in the dash. If anyone knows, @StanH knows the settings better than anyone! (Throwing up the bat light again!)

Does the dash stay lit forever or shuts off after select time, every time? You’ll definitely want to keep a charger on that battery till you figure it out.

Settings - Display Mode - and check Control Screen Timeout.

Would love to do that. But head unit has no power to access those settings. And the dials next to the light switch were dialed all the way down. Is there a chance that my head unit is just broken? Like when my aux battery died and drained my main battery before I did the aux delete. Could that have just killed my head unit and I'm now just searching for ghosts?

It has happened.. but now I thinking that it may come back once both are bought new charged and replaced.

When replacing the batteries if both batteries are totally disconnected simultaneously for 30 -1hr. I think it forces a hard reset on a lot of stuffs.

One more thing .. with truck running . Hold both dials on the headset in for 15-20 seconds. I usually do 17 or 18 seconds then release . See whT happens normally this resets the head unit

I have given it multiple drive cycles and tried manually soft booting the head unit via pressing and holding both dials for about a minute. The only progress I have made is by unplugging all my battery connections and z fuse array and cleaning, following with unmarrying my taser mini. My remote start now works but I'm still at a loss for the head unit and dash. Going to order new head unit and if it works great but if it doesn't I'll just return the head unit. Hate just swapping parts but I'm unsure as what else to check.

Well I pulled fuse 97 that powers the head unit and now my dash turns off. I think when my old aux battery died amd it fried my head unit. I don't want to spend 1k on a new head unit but that's where I'm at. Heading off to Alaska for 3 weeks so it will have to be after that.
