A little general discussion starter here. Not sure if this has been posted yet or seen. Was uploaded 4 days ago so it's new. If so feel free to delete.

But, I cannot find a better explained narrative for the hate we often get from those outside of the Jeep community. The rebuttal response to each area of hate we receive in my opinion was explained perfectly in this. Exactly why I love this community!

I never get any hate for my JT…. In fact, I get more folks saying “I love your Jeep!!”

Nobody hates convertibles…. It’s the pricetag they hate.
Nobody hates to go offroad… It’s the pricetag of upgrades & repairs they hate.
Nobody hates having a ’fun car’ …. It’s the priorities of life that prevent them from being able to afford, and time to enjoy it.

They don’t hate what the Wrangler was designed to do, they hate the fact that they can’t enjoy it themselves. It is a lifestyle….. Same goes for Motorcyclists…… that’s a lifestyle too.

I’m sorry that some of you experience hatred…. Just smile and wave!!! 😎

For me it’s the camaraderie, the “let’s do this” or maybe “hold my beer and watch this” attitude. My time on the farm and in the service allowed me to continue my help your neighbor attributes. As one poster said ‘…they ain’t us’. You really don’t get that in society these days and it’s sorely missed. The vid is spot on with a lot of things and the Jeep wave is something you don’t see from others on the road. I can’t remember a “pinky wave” from Prius owners. 😏Thanks for the reminder.

For some reason when I was a teenager I gravitated towards 4wds in general (currently I have 5 not including atvs). Bought my first CJ5 at 17 for $700. I’ve had at last count 25 jeeps currently 3. I really don’t care what people think. I just like jeeps. Is the gladiator the best pickup nope…the best tow rig nope….but i take it places your cute suv would not go and it’s good enough at everything. Plus I feel like I’m in the modern CJ5 when I drive around. Still looking at CJ5s and J10s weekly on marketplace….send help.

Wow, you’ve had more than I have had but my favorite is and was still the 2006 TJ Rubi I had with the 4.0 I-6. I traded that in for my 2012 JK Rubi, which I traded in later for my first JL. But I remember how I really enjoyed the size of the TJ, side by side with my 2012 w/the AEV buildup the TJ looked like a toy. But wouldn’t ya know it, I’m now looking again for a TJ Rubi. If you can find one they are being sold at a premium. Shoulda hung onto it, but hindsight is 20/20.
