My biggest concern with key-locking hood latches are, what if some schmutz (yes, that's a real word) gets in the lock cylinder ? I'd have to have a set that has dirt/dust covers.

Are my concerns warranted ? Probably not, but I still got 'em....

That was a selling point on the ones I got. The have dirt/dust covers to keep the schmutz and water out.

Added a Teraflex Nexus 2.2 stabilizer mainly because I was getting a slight, occasional shimmy in the steering wheel. Not death wobble at all, but I started with the easiest to install solution. The stock stabilizer had 22K miles with 37" KO2's. I removed it and it was relatively easy to move. Maybe I get lucky and it fixes it. Next place I will look is rebalancing the tires even though I had them balanced a few weeks ago. Everything else seemed tight. Checked all the bolts on tie rod, etc. When removing the stabilizer the bolts on the tie rod didn't take much to break loose.

Initial drive with new stabilizer is the soft setting is way firmer than stock. Either the stock one was shot or this one is just really firm. Not really in a bad way. More I just wasn’t expecting it to be so firm. My stock one I could pretty easily push in when I had it off. This one there was no way. Need to see how it does on the roads that create some shimmy.

I wonder if they can be re-keyed to the OEM cut for your vehicle so you don't need to carry extra keys?

And for those concerned about crap in the locking cylinder, just use some DRY lithium spray every month or so. That's what we use in the locking gas caps on motorcycles, works great! Done this over 48k miles in 3 years with zero issues. MAKE SURE IT'S "DRY Lithium" spray, or the "wet" stuff will attract the grime.

I have the same one you put on…I run the soft setting on trails, med for daily driving and the hardest setting on the highway/freeway…Much Better than my worn out stock one.

Yesterday I 3D printed 3/4" seat risers to raise the front. Man they really do make a difference.
I read where others were doing it and how much they loved them. they were right.
but I wasn't going to pay upwards of $100 for them so I printed them for .75 cents.
In the photo they don't

look like they are 3/4", but they are.

I would doubt it, just because of the depth of the Oem key, compared to those 3/4” long keys used in the latches.

I'm obviously not the guy you're asking and I have no idea about his print specifically but I've been eyeballing 3d printing for a long time. Plenty of plastics that are strong enough though, like Delrin. But even a slightly softer plastic and 3/4" I think I'd be comfortable with as a spacer. Not an engineer, though.
