Hi all,

I want to utilize the cab and integrate a rack. I've used the DeeZee rack which worked pretty well but realized it was destroying the weather seal on my doors, which I didn't like and got rid of it. I do have an Oru Designs camper and only have the front panels to work with, so just the front half. I'm looking at a TrailRax system and rhino rack bars but want to know if anyone has a good suggestion for a rack for the rain gutters that doesn't destroy the weather seal on the doors. Weight up there will be minimal; hiking gear, jackets, shoes, random junk...

Thanks!

Following this one. I’m thinking of doing this myself but haven’t found a good set of bars that have the full tracks in them for the slide nuts.

You might check Thule. They list some for the Gladiator. I don't know about the models with gutters. I have a pair that went on my Ram PU but that truck doesn't have gutters.

I have a TrailRak and its worked great no issues with paint or door seals. I do not carry weight on it its a base for a flat plate I made to mount Starlink and antennas for Ham and GMRS.

I just bought Curt cross bar roof racks. Very solid & sturdy. Easy to install and remove. I don’t have any complaints. The fittings seem well designed and secure. I’m very happy with these roof racks. When installing them you need a helper or just switch sides a few times to get the sweet spot for the alignment on the roof so don’t over-tighten until the alignment is “just right.”

My Thule cross bars have been on since 2021 and don’t touch the doors. They stay high enough.

I recently got a set of these too. They were inexpensive and look versatile. I'll probably attach a basket on them to throw stuff up there. I was going to use a Roam box but it's huge up there.

This has been on the top of my list and wasn't sure about the door seal. This is excellent. The feedback I've seen from other TrailRak users has been all positive, so this is great. Appreciate the post!
