oh teh deal also put my drain plug on so tight my wrench at home stripped it. I had to buy a new drain plug. Makes me wonder if they ever even did the free oil changes at all.

Bushings, only have 36K miles and every bushing in the suspension and steering is completely worn out and shot. The shop has never seen it and said it looks like the bushings have 100K miles on them.

You can probably tell by looking at the oil on the dipstick

What’s something on your Gladiator that wore out or took a beating quicker than you thought?

Could be:
  • Tires
  • Suspension
  • Interior
  • Windshield
  • Anything else
Always interesting to hear what people didn’t expect.
NOTHING .. BOTH HAVE 25k+ MILES.. ALL GOOD.

I didn't actually know they were blown, but they squeaked, creaked and rattled. That was enough for me to take it in.
Thanks! I’ve got until March 2027 before the 3/36 runs out. So, we’ll see.

That’s a solid run overall. Especially with trips like Rausch Creek and Moab.

And yes the windshield keeps coming up across the board. Sadly these are windshield chip magnets.

Are you trying to ride it out? Or looking to replace?
The windshield is getting replaced next Monday. As I have a state inspection due before the end of the month.

That’s frustrating, especially that early.

Definitely not something you’d expect before 20k. Did it cause any other issues when it went?
Nothing other than an oily mess. I was lucky I eas almost to the mail box when it blew big time After getting the mail backed up and drove into my driveway and into my garage. In that maybe 150 ‘ it pumped out a couple of quarts. In reality i was lucky. Had I been actually driving at speed by the time I realized what took place i would of needed a new engine most likely. I smelled it in the garage , seen the mess under it and a wide trail all over the road to and from the mailbox. Trail is still their better than a month now

'22 Rubicon here with 43k in the ODO.
So far, the only thing that I've had to replace is the coolant bottle cap. Both o-rings were flat.

17000 miles, and I'm having to get my front axle replaced because all of its important mission goo went splatter everywhere.

Why? No reason that they've been able to tell me. And I didn't go wheeling at all, in winter, in Anchorage.

I just noticed when I went under my vehicle to take off my skid plate, that I had blue grease splattered everywhere.

Showed this to the dealership, and all of a sudden they're warranty-ing me a new front axle. But unable to tell me why.

Anyone?

Thats what I thought. But how is it replacing the ENTIRE axle a better fix than just a new boot and some clean grease?

Someone else had the same problem. Tried to get just the boot. It only comes with the axle as an assembly. You can't get it by it's self.

First saw this thread this morning and thought about it on and off all day. I'm in my second JT now after selling the first one two months ago. Had it since new for a little over 4 years and 47k miles. I can honestly say everything about the first one held up better than expected. The only thing that I wore out were the ball joints but that wasn't a surprise due to heavy 37" tires on negative offset wheels. I went through several windshields but it's a Jeep so no big surprise. Overall I had few complaints.
