Funny thing is, the thread title is actually on point, just not how they meant it. When I was shopping EVERYONE was telling me not to get a Jeep because it's garbage, especially the diesel. After I bought one EVERYONE was telling me it was a mistake and it's going to leave me stranded. 60k miles on the truck and the only issue I have is an intermittent service 4x4 light when its wet out.
Nice!! FWIW, this tranmission thing was really bad after rain/carwash for like 7k miles. Then it just started being bad all the time. I guess I am a POS for not knowing how to maintain a sealed transmission, how do you maintain yours?

I wouldn't call it a very common problem being that there's over a million Stellantis vehicles on the road running the same transmission. Sure there have been several failures, but I'm guessing my odds of being struck by lightning are higher.
Why does Jeep have a PSB then?

Huh? I bought my 2020 Overland with 114,000 miles, now has 120,600. NO problems, no death wobble, no electronic issues, nothing! I think he bought a LEMON! I hope to grow much older owning this sweetheart of a Jeep!
Lucky! I must just be a POS then!! Problem soved, never mind Jeeps are great and there isn't a bulletin about this common problem!

Because some of them fail and need rebuilt? If it was very very very common as you describe it would be a recall not a simple TSB for the rare case of that failure?

Jeep released a TSB because there is a pattern.

Why would they release a TSB for something that doesn't happen often? This is a recurring issue.
That doesn't explain his claims of death wobble, glass catching fire, or jeep techs "shocked" by a stock vehicle.
There might be some truth to what he's saying, but there's a lot here that doesn't add up. And what's the point of this thread anyway? He's got a failure on a used Jeep and is in here on a soapbox trying to do... what exactly? "BEWARE - JEEP ISN'T WHAT YOU THINK" - really? As if he's the fount of all knowledge or that owners didn't go in being aware of issues with Jeep and Stellantis as a whole?
Death wobble is a known issue on any solid axle vehicle.
There's apparently a TSB for the transmissions built under license by Stellantis; fortunately the diesels have a German-built unit. A TSB is just a repair procedure document, the typical dealer solution is to just pull the part and replace it; this just instructs a tech how to actually repair something instead of a more costly replacement.
Electrical issues are known problems across all Stellantis vehicles.

What does the OP want to have happen here? There's no request for resources, no attempt to troubleshoot the problem, just "I had a bad experience and everyone who owns these vehicles is stupid".

The only idiot here is the guy who bought a used Gladiator and apparently expected a new Ridgeline.

EDIT: Zachs already covering it, if it was common enough they'd do a recall.

The ZF is not a bad transmission, the actual German ZF has been proven to be a stout well performing transmission, it's the 850RE US variant that sucks because, well, dare I say, it's American made.

Thank you for asking! What do you mean by "Youtube clicks"? I am new here and finding out real quick a lot of Jeep owners are just as bad as jeep's Indian customer care reps.
There just being defensive. Folks join the forums all the time to just bitch and complain, fight everyone that tries to help, and generally talk shit about Jeep. It's like a weekly occurance.

Gotta have thick skin 'round these parts.

We need pictures. Is this a bone stock sport or a sport with a Frankenlift and 40’s?

Don’t expect a warm welcome when your first post is sh!tting on our favorite vehicle. We can only be on defense at that point.

Well that's not nice or mature! I have no reason to lie.

The point of this post was to get Jeeps attention. Thank you for the help. If I need to read any other garbage in your post let me know!

I can tell long time Jeep owners aren't very bright.
Feels fine dishing the insults, but can't take being treated in kind.

Unlike Gripey-McWhinesalot here, I knew what I was in for with Jeep ownership. What my truck does is worth the cost of ownership and I'm prepared for those issues.
